Ok Bees, I have to choose if my E-ring shank should be plain with a little miligrain or with a half eternity. What do you think looks best?
I have drawings of the top and side view with the plain shank and only a side view of the half eternity, but I’m sure you’ll get the idea.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Normally I would be all for the additional bling, but in all honesty, I think I like the plain miligrain. It doesn’t take away from the beauty and detail in the center.

Agree.. plain band looks classy & doesn’t take away from the top. Very nice!

I think the half eternity will be a pretty continuation of the design. Also, I find that more people regret opting for less bling over time.

I like the half eternity! 🙂

I think it looks best with just the milgrain. That way all the focus is really on that beautiful diamond and the halo. I think it looks a little too busy with the half-eternity band.

I think the ring looks so unique with just the milgrain. Pretty ring!

Just the milgrain. Plus, a plain shank will be more comfortable and hold up to everyday wear better.

My answer is still the same – plain milgrained shank. I think it looks so classic and really allows the centre detail to pop. More bling is not always better, IMHO.

Very unique ring! Very pretty- I think it would look nicer without the pave.

Thanks for the input. I’m torn, I might have to leave the final call up to the bf, after showing him the poll results. Is there any other detail that you think needs attention or adjusting? I am relying on your expertise!

DEFINATELY continue it with the diamonds on the band, this makes the center flow with the rest of the ring and WILL NOT take away from the center at all…I actually think the plain band takes away from the center because all that metal showing draws your eyes to the band IMO.

I think it looks more “finished” with the eternity.

Go with the extra bling! Both are beautiful but I think the half eternity just “goes” with the center setting.

@Milk and Honey: Just double check that you can wear a wedding band with it, and that the wedding band will sit flush with it, if thats important to you.
