I LOVE Amsale, but I agree with you that $310 is honestly too high. The After 6 is a good happy medium! And I think that color will work well!

Any of the above dresses will look great with your dress. It is a hard color for many women to pull off.

I do, howver, think they are too expensive to ask most young women to pay for a dress they will wear once. When you add on costs for alterations, jewelry and shoes, the total amount  they will spend is adding up.

The first photo is really pretty, but $310 is way too much unless you’re paying for the dresses (or subsidizing them substantially). I also think that this is a bridesmaid-y color, so your BMs aren’t likely to wear the dresses again — which is totally fine, but it just means that $310 is really too much.

JenniferLynnHosey:  I agree with the rest of the PPs.  $310 is way too much.  You could easily get a similar style and color from a lower priced designer.  Try Weddington Way?  I know they carry After 6 and will send you a swatch.

Maybe have your mom in the Amsale and the rest of the girls in a different dress/similar color?

Go with a different color, I wore this color for a wedding and besides 1 out of the 9 bridesmaids everyone else looked so washed out.

I agree with PPs that 310 is way too much in my opinion. I like the After 6 dresses and color, assuming they are less expensive than Amsale.

    Your dress is gorgeous!

JenniferLynnHosey: I think all of the dress colors would work with your dress but this color is tough i wanted this color for my girls but when they tried it on they all looked so washed out so we went with blue. But the $300 is way too much. I sent each of my girls a private text/call and asked there budget (for reference my girls are in the 23-29 range) some were willing to pay whatever but most were comfortable with around $150 with a little bit of flexibility. So then I found dresses from there we went with Alfred Angelo because they were good quality and affordable!

On a side note your dress is stunning!!

Honestly there isn’t that big of a price difference between After Six (Dessy Group) and Amsale. My girls wore Lela Rose, After Six, etc (all Dessy Group) dresses and they ranged in price from $265 to $325 (before alterations). They chose the designer and the style (and the price point). My maid of honor wore Cameo and I loved the color–it’s a really, really soft beigy-blush color in person. I would talk to your bridesmaids and let them tell you what they’re comfortable with and go from there.

JenniferLynnHosey:  If you search online you may find them cheaper. I would see if a local bridal salon has the style you’re interested in so your bridesmaids can try them on and then look online for a cheaper price. I know Alfred Angelo, David’s Bridal, Mori Lee, and Bari Jay have dresses under $200 (I looked an these designers originally before I decided to let my bridesmaids pick their own dresses).
