Have you ever thought about having an outside wedding with a Tent? Best bet would be to hire a wedding consultant. They would be more equipped to find you "different venues" Happy Planning!
yeah...we have a wedding planner but I am not impressed with any of the venues we've looked at thus far...
Also check with a real estate company and see if they have anything open. A friend of mine owns a ton of commercial properties and he has started renting some of them out for events as he can't rent them out as business spots. Also, some large mansions that are for sale are starting to rent out, it helps them cover their costs until they are sold.
@tksjewelry-I haven't checked CL but I will. I NEVER would have thought to check with a realtor. Ironically, we are currently working with one so I will ask. Thanks!!!
@somethingborrowed- I will message you shortly
@mkewed2010-We looked at the rennaissance place but they wanted a $3500.00 bar guarantee and there is NO WAY we could ever make that. Currently, our reception is scheduled for the grain exchange but we desperately need a ceremony site.
Thanks everybody!
Take a peek at the Elm Grove Woman's club - www.egwc.org - we had our wedding there last month and loved it!
I'm doing mine at The Legend at Bristlecone Pines in Hartland or there is The Legend at Brandybrook in Wales. They're private golf clubs that are beautifully decorated.

Ok...so I've been engaged for awhile. We are just now in the beginning stages of wedding planning. Never would I have thought that planning a wedding was such a BIG deal. I mean, there are soooo many details. I'm a simple girl and there are too many choices! First off, we are getting married in WI and I am just not having any luck finding a venue. I mean...there are venues here but it seems that everyone of my friends/family has gotten married within the last 5 years and I want a different venue. We've looked at a few places but I just didn't get the "feeling"...I don't feel that I should have to settle on a venue just because the clock is ticking. I was trying to stay away from hotels(not because there is anything wrong with them) but because its not the way I've pictured my wedding...I mean...this is really weighing on me because just when I think I know exactly what I want...I don't! Does anyone know of a nice venue in Milwaukee WI. aside from "the art museum, the war memorial, coast, Discovery world/pier WI....any help would be greatly appreciated.
