I am in a nonfiction writing class at college and am writing a paper on how the economy is affecting the wedding industry.
I need your help by hearing your stories! What are you doing to help save money? Has your budget been affected? What bargains have you found? The more information, the better:)
This paper will not be published and will only be seen by my teacher. I do need your first and last name and where your from.[you can message me that information if you would like]
you can email me at:[email protected]
Thank you SOO much for your help!

Good topic! My biggest thing is to really shopping for a bargain and to really amp up on my DIY’s but even DIY’s can be expensive so its really sticking to a budget and saving money in big areas but going for fun projects either with the hubby, my bridesmaids or family. Although they might not be fully supporting my DIY’s it’s a nice relaxing time for me to do it on my own and be happy and save some big money.
Some bargins I have found, is that the dollar store although being the dollar store has some amazing finds, sometimes you just have to keep your eyes open.
Also I hit the clearance sections at Target and Walmart like its going out of style. I find odd things but if you are creative you can make anything work!

Good idea. We’re having an elegant yet intimate wedding. Odds are it will be a destination wedding as well.
Destination weddings are usually less expensive and that’s a huge bonus right now w/the economy being so dicey. I was going to draw some from an old account I had from a prior job, but the darn balance is plummetting as it would seem daily. Bleech.
I think gone are the days of 500-1000 plus guests and crazy extravagance for the most part. But kudos to those who can afford it. To me? I want it as lovely and as elegant as possible but realize that in the end we are paying for one day. One day. We have the rest of our lives to make as perfect as possible!
