elw728:  This isn’t my forte but I think pearls would get lost in your hair and dress and with something blingy whether it’s a necklace or earrings(or both!) will stand out in a good way.

elw728:  I’d always wear great-grandmother’s anything, unless it looked really really awful, you can’t beat that kind of sentimental value 🙂

My dress is the same idea as yours (lace + blingy belt, strapless) and I’m wearing my hair up. I’ve decided to forgo a necklace and instead do some blingy earrings and a bracelet. I think that with the detail on your dress, you could go without a necklace and it would still be beautiful!

I don’t get “it might compete too much with the blingy belt”. Don’t worry about it, your dress (very beautiful and romantic by the way) has like no sparkle except for the belt whch isn’t overwhelming at all. So go for the necklace and earrings duo.

elw728:  I voted blingy! I am biased, as I wore a sweetheart top with the Nadri Teardrop necklace. I know you mentioned perhaps getting the necklace without the drop . . . I don’t recommend it. I actually fell in love with the Nadri necklace I got first, but couldn’t stomach the cost. 40+ hours online later! I ordered a necklace from http://www.weddingfactorydirect.com that didn’t have a drop but had the same organic “feel” and tried it on at a fitting. It just didn’t work for me with the sweetheart (I even made a thread about the necklace with the neckline, and whether I should get the one I wanted). In the end, I bought the Nadri, and it was perfect 🙂

Blingy earrings only! With the belt, a visible necklace would be too much.

elw728:  Rock that blingy necklace!! It will totally compliment the sparkle in your dress.

elw728:  no, not the same one you’re loving 🙂  I just did a google image search for it to upload and one of the top images was from my previously mentioned post! Here is my beauty 🙂 I wore it with the matching bracelet and a pair of earrings from wedding factory direct. I ended up with about five pairs of earrings from them, and they were all gorgeous! I almost bought my MOH (only female attendant) a necklace set from them, but sent her a picture of it at the last minute before ordering, and she told me she wanted to wear a necklace she inherited from her grandmother with her dress. So I found some bracelets and earrings to match the necklace she already had. Anyway, here is my necklace (not on me, though). I have yet to find any pictures that do it true justice for how beautiful it is!
