I just started dress shopping this weekend and so far have found two dresses that I really like. I didn’t have the “OMG this is the dress” moment with either but I’m not that type of person so wasn’t expect it going in.
This was the first dress I found that I liked. It’s the style I was looking for when I went shopping. It will be MUCH poofier. I wore two crinolines under it. It also has pockets which I LOVE and button detailing down the train.
And this is the second one I really liked. It’s way different than what I thought I would like but I think it has more of a “wow factor” than the first. I would extend the flower/feathers at the neckline into a one shoulder strap that I could add on at the reception after my veil is off.
I’m so torn! Help me! 🙂

Wow! They’re both beautiful for different reasons. The first has such a classic and graceful line to it, the second so very feminine and romantic. It is early yet as your wedding is March 2012, so perhaps you can give yourself a little more time to shop just in case? What is your venue? Would one dress be more suited to it than the other? Does it matter to you? Do you have photos of yourself in the dresses? 🙂

I am just not a fan of the feathers on the skirt of the second dress. If it weren’t for that, it would probably be my pick. You don’t sound sure yet of either dress, so I say keep looking.

I’m still going to keep shopping these are just the top runners for right now. 🙂 The ceremony will be in an indoor botanical garden and the reception at a hotel ballroom. I think either would be suitable but I’d wear whatever I liked regarless of the venue. No photos sadly. The store doesn’t allow pictures… I’m hoping to find them somewhere else that does so that I can compare at home.

These dresses are both beautiful, but I think I love the first dress for its simple elegance! It feels much more versatile going between botanical garden to hotel ballroom. Good luck with your hunt!

I like the first one best, it has more of a classic look and sillhouette. I’m not a big fan of the feathers on the second dress.

I really love the first dress!

I’d want to see them on YOU to make a call 🙂 But I’m also not a fan of feathers. I think 50 years from now you’ll be happier looking at the Allure in your photos.. just my $.02 though!

Thanks for all the opinions! 🙂
@KristenGotMarried: That’s one of my thoughts too. I want to look back in 20 years and still like my dress and the Jasmine one might date itself a little more. Oh well. Guess I need to shop a bit more.

The second dress is beautiful.

I love #1! It has a very classic style/look to it! I wish I would have went with something like that!

I just tried on dress #2! I wish I had taken a pic! I loved the dress off the rack but not on me. I’d love to see it on you! I voted for dress 2…just because I’m so in love with it. 🙂

#1!! It is so much more timeless and elegant. Plus, I have to say that I am really, really not a fan of the feathers.
