I have been on the look-out for a cheap veil. When I bought my dress the bridal shop only had veils $100 or more and that was just not going to happen. I found a chapel-length veil on amazon for $17 including shipping and then, after I bought it, found out that it won’t be here for two months. I have the option of cancelling the order. I found another veil on Etsy tonight that I think I like better. It is cathedral and has a pretty pencil lining (the amazon one is raw edge).
Which one do you think would go best with my dress? Here is my dress:
Veil #1 (chapel, raw edge, from China)
Sorry, the pictures wouldn’t load but here is the link to the veil:
Veil #2 (cathedral, pencil edge, from Etsy)

Your dress is beautiful! Are those pockets?! That’s the ONE thing I didn’t get in my dress that I wanted. And that bow on the back is perfect!

You look stunning in your dress! I love the idea of cathedral veil with your dress and you have lovely hair!

I like the pencil edge veils a lot…plus I like the idea of a cathedral veil with your dress…which is really gorgeous by the way! You look really pretty in it.

@jeg14: Omg that was the dress I was thiiiiiiiiis close to buying 🙂 It looks gorgeous on you! I was just thinking “man I really like that dress” then saw the back haha. I really like the cathedral length for you 🙂

@Josheen: Yes, pockets! I love them so much. It had everything I wanted: pockets, buttons, belt, bling, and a bow. Thank you!
@weddingbound: @Peanut-Sue: Thank you both very much! Man people on this forum are nice!
@MagnoliaBlossom: I’ve been wanting to see other people in the dress– I feel like I haven’t really seen it on here much. What dress did you end up getting?

@jeg14: I know! I think you are the first person I have seen with it. I ended up getting Allure 2513 in champagne/ivory. It was such a hard choice though! I seriously went back and forth for a while. You need to update us once you get married so I can see it all together!

You look absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Personally, I’d go for the cathedral length veil. First of all, I think it’s more dramatic and will go with your dress beautifully. Second, you may be really disappointed with the quality of the one from Amazon. I’ve heard of horror stories about how bad Amazon veils are. Plus, it doesn’t even have an edge?? I have a bad feeling about that one. I think you’ll be much happier (and safer) going with the Etsy one. Good luck and congrats on your wedding! You will be a stunning bride!

@jeg14: I think both of those veils would look great with the dress. I would make the decision based on how formal your ceremony is going to be. Are you having a very formal church ceremony? Go with cathedral. If it’s more casual, go with the chapel.
As far as these actual veils go, the cathedral length looks like it’s probably better quality (the raw edge on the chapel would make me nervous), but I think it would look weird at a wedding that wasn’t pretty formal.

@MagnoliaBlossom: I just googled that dress, beautiful! I seriously love it. We must have very similar taste in wedding dresses :).
@Christy42213: Thank you! And I think you are right. I’m much more comfortable ordering from an Etsy shop with reviews and made in the US.
@LilliePad: I agree with you about the cathedral, I bet it will be better quality. I’m getting married in a church so I think the cathedral would be okay. Thank you for your advice!

@jeg14: Check out PrettythingsbyJenni on etsy- she made my veil and I love it! She is extremely reasonable! I don’t know where your other etsy one is from, but you can compare them then
