How does your FI feel about the more feminine colors? Maybe select a masculine and feminine color scheme like the black and light pink. Or perhaps Fuschia and blue that is beautiful together and relatively a newer idea.
@LovebirdsSC: My fiance doesn't mind the pink so much, as he won't be wearing it. His tux will be all black with a white tie. On the other hand the groomsmen might mind as they will more than likely be wearing some sort of pink!
What does your venue look like? When are you getting married? What type of feel do you want for your wedding?
I have attached a few pictures of both the ceremony site and the reception hall, they are not the best pictures but hopefully you can get an idea! We are getting married June 23rd. And when it comes to the feel for my wedding I am a little torn..when I think about it, I really want a romantic feel with dimmed lighting and the candles illuminating..but I also like the idea of having "fun" colors.
I actually think the pink and orange can work out really well. You can still encorporate bold white and black lines in your decor, but have some really awesome summery colors in pink and bold without it being too "Feminine". I actually don't like light pink for a summer wedding but that's just me! A dusty rose pink might look nice...

I think given the time of year, orange & pink would be bright, sunny, and cheery.
However, if you do want a softer more romantic feel, then that would be paler/less bright colors. Like light burn orange vs. bright orange, rusty pinks vs. fuschia, champagne vs. white, pale yellows vs. bright yellows, and etc.

I looooooove pink and orange. Lots of inspiration out there! I PERSONALLY like black and pink as long as the groomsmen don't wear black dress shirts. Just a personal opinion!
