OK ladies… I need opinions.
Since I met my husband I’ve had short/medium hair. I cut it all off about 6 months before I met him and love the short look.
But I miss the long look. But it takes two years to grow out and over a year of the wait is the awkward sholder length hair (which I’m in that stage now)
So I’m trying to decide on what to do
Here’s my longer hair, sorry I look so angry, it’s just the best pic I can find of the hair
And the bob
Now for color options, please help me decide on a color 🙂
I could keep the dark brown or…
Brown with highlights…
Or for fun 🙂 Blonde with pink and green (since I’m a SAHM now and don’t need to worry about work until 2 years when I finish school)
My husband isn’t too much help, I like to change up my hair to mix it up a bit and for him but he never tells me what he prefers. I have a feeling he’d like me to go back blonde for a bit though.
What do you think? I’m feeling like I’m in a funk anyways and wanna mix it up a bit, how much is up to y’all 🙂

@kris325: I really like your hair dark on you and I am really loving the long hair and the bob!
I think the bob is very sassy and you totally rock that look very well so I voted for the dark bob!

@weddingbound: Thank you 🙂 I like the bob, it took me years to convince myself to finally do it and I was so happy I did. It would also be helpful in our humid summers 🙂

@kris325: i like the bob on you best but i would thin is out a bit with more layers (like in the last pic). i like the dark hair on you as well.
imho, the long hair is dragging your whole face down. it could be just that pic too though.

I actually really like the cut you have now, the medium length with the dark hair. The dark hair makes your facial features pop while I think the other colours wash you out a bit. If you did the bob I would wear it curly every once in a while, like in the first blonde pic, where as the medium length looks better straight.

Thanks for all the tips ladies!
I like the idea of having the bob thinned out, it gets to be entirely too puffy and looks like a mix between an afro and a amazon hairstyle when it gets humid out, so if I go back to the bob I will likely use that 🙂

@kris325: I liked the first photo of you best, with the bangs and dark hair 🙂 It’s very flattering!

I love the dark brown bob picture the best!

I love the dark brown bob on you.

@kris325: I like the long hair on you (no fringe) and the punky-coloured blonde (w/side fringe). I like the dark colour, reddish, and punky colours best on you.
Ok, so 100% honesty time, I do not think the thick, blunt fringe is very flattering on you. Instead of complimenting your eyes (which is a large reason to get fringe, IMO), it clashes with your eyeshape and throws the whole look off. I thought maybe it was the shorter length in the first photo that I didn’t like, but the blunt fringe don’t work at any length. I think the side-swept fringe in the last photo, however, look amazing on you since the soft-sloping layers look wonderful with your lovely eyes (I love the shape and downward slant to them, like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Camilla Belle, Anne Hathaway, Cintia Dicker, Nichole Richie, Marilyn Monroe or Katie Holmes):
I do not like the bob hairstyle on you because it makes you look older than you are. I adore bobs in general, but that particular one has very little going on, and is a cut I see more often with much older women (a very no-fuss, shapeless style). Also, the style pictured is an awkward length (it looks like it’s either too short or that it’s the grown-out length from a previous cut), and it does nothing to highlight your eyes. If you do go with a bob, I think having a longer bob and adding side fringe and longer layers would do wonders for the whole look. Plus side fringe would help draw attention to your eyes.
If you go with the long hairstyle, I think adding long layers but keeping it fringe-less would look beautiful. You are rocking the middle-part like no other (and I typically despise those), and the layers would help add dimension and movement to your hair.

i selected other – i’m pretty much in love with this:
Maybe i’ll be ballsy enough one day and go that red! Getting my hair done 6/11, wedding a few weeks later? that seems like the perfect time, right?

@MlleFabuleux: Thank you for all the tips but… What’s a fringe? lol

Your hair looks fabulous dark. I love it either long or bobbed. How long is it now?

@kris325: LOL fringe (UK term) = bangs (American term)

I really like the cut in the blonde/pink/green photo, and I think you look best with no bangs / sideswept bangs.
I’ve been growing my hair out for 3 years in preparation for the wedding, and I’m thinking it really wasn’t worth it. Long hair is fun sometimes, but I feel much more like Me when it’s short and fun.
