I am really, really torn between these two photographers. I love both their work. They are actually very similar in style, to be honest. There is one I think I am slightly leaning towards, but her prices are just slightly higher. Anyway, the difference in price and style is so negligible as to make it almost impossible to decide. Please help and vote for your favorite 🙂

I am getting married in Maine as well (from Long Island) and so are my photographers (who are also from Long Island. But they were looking for a photographer and sent an email to Michelle.

But they were looking for a photographer and sent an email to Michelle. The photography team I chose is http://www.AlexisSteinPhoto.com (a soon-to-be Husband and Wife team) from New York in case you were looking for more options.

I’m actually having a destination wedding – both photogs photograph internationally!

I like both really. I think either way you would end up with great wedding photos! Go for the cheaper, unless you’ve met them in person and prefer one over the other. It’s important too, that you feel comfortable with your photographer.

I would suggest trying to meet them both in person, or find out in more depth what your price includes.
For example, say Photog A is marginally more expensive than Photog B, but Photog A includes an extra shooter, a nice product credit or some other perk that Photog B doesn’t include.
That may make up for the difference in cost, and may make it easier to decide.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask about their print rates. Most individual photographers set their own print prices, and most don’t tell you how much they’ll cost until after the photos are available for purchase. Nothing stings more than paying for beautiful photos and then realizing that you don’t have enough money to buy all the prints!

I prefer Elizabeth Lloyd over the others mentioned in this thread. Just my pro photographer opinion: it looks to me as she has more of an eye for composition and lighting. Makes for more compelling visuals to spend a liftetime looking at, you know?
