I have been married for just over six months now, and I am considering a total-hair makeover. I have worn my hair the same way since I met my husband over 5 years ago, and I feel like it’s time for a change!
In the comments, let me know which hairstyle you like best, and also tell me which side I should part my hair on (left or right? …from your perspective as you look at the pictures on the screen), and tell me which color you like best on me. Just so you know, I am willing to spend time styling it every morning.
Finally, should I get my eyebrows shaped? I have never had them professionally shaped.
Me originally (long blonde hair, usually worn straight, parted on right):
Look #1 (brown wavy hair, medium length, parted on left):
Look #2 (slightly shorter brown highlighted wavy hair, parted on right):
Look #3 (short choppy blonde hair with bangs, parted on right):
Look #4 (light brown short sleek style, very professional, long sideswept bangs, parted on left):
Look #5 (light brown/dark blonde long bob parted on right):
Don’t forget you can always make your own combination of any of the above! Just let me know in the comment section!

I like 2 and 3, but I’d keep it blond (or maybe some lowlights) for either style.

Not sure what your natural color is, but #2 makes you look SO pretty, that would be my pick! All your features seem to shine with the darker hair color.

Bangs look really good on you! 🙂

I love the first or second options on you — that brown will make your blue eyes POP! Very, very pretty!

I like number two! A darker base with some brighter pieces going through. And the length is really in right now too! (I’m a hair stylist) I also think everyone should have their brows professionally shaped because I’m obsessed with good eyebrows 🙂 come back and post a pic when you make a decision!

I think your hair is very pretty the way it is now! 🙂

I love 2 & 3 the most out of the changes, but I also love the way you have it originally!

#3 short blonde blond!! Super cute!

@caroline5: You look super cute with bangs (I liked the shorter ones) and I think you could go short with the length or keep it long and have bangs either length. For the color, I’m not sure… I’m also a blond and I’ve gone dark twice, and although it was fun for a while I was relieved to return to blond as I felt it was more “me”. Also, it’s expensive and kind of damaging to go back if you do not end up liking it. That being said, it’s just hair and if you’re curious go for it. 🙂
Have you considered adding lowlights? Less commitment than full on brown hair.
As for your question about the part, I prefer the part on the right in these pics.
No matter what, I think you have the coloring / face shape for any of the above options. Will you update us when you do it, please? I love before and after pics 😉

#3 looks great on you! (Not that the original isn’t pretty too!)

Thank you, everyone! That helps a lot. Right now, I am leaning toward a combo of #2 and #3. Collarbone length, texture, and side-swept bangs. Just can’t decide on the color!
I think I am going to wait until the end of February. I am going on a cruise (yay, honeymoon!), and I wouldn’t want the ocean water and sun to fade any hair color I might try.

I voted for the shorter choppy cut. I think if you want a change then cut is a lot easier to try and maintain (and change/style if you don’t like it). I think the blonde suits you, but the choppiness would make it a little edgier and cool.

I like the last two options best because they really change things up and frame your face nicely. How did you find different hair pictures to match to your face like that? It was really helpful and I’d love to do something similar before deciding on a drastic hairstyle for myself!
