Our Min Pin Max was insistant upon being part of the photo shoot... he kept knocking over the shoes with his nose. Finally he just laid down next to them and I took the picture anyway... what a goon.
I voted for the CL shoes because I love the look of the satin shoes with a wedding dress. They are both fab shoes!!!
The satin ones seem better for a spring wedding to me, they are both so great though!
LOVE the satin !!! The Suede is pretty too but not really for a spring wedding & the dress...
i am a purple shoe bride too!! congrats on finding your shoes... I am still looking... :(
I voted for the suede just because I feel like you could rewear them more often than the satin shoes.
I love the CL ones. I think they are a little more bridal looking, but I definitely think you could wear them again sometime too! Super cute!
The suede ones seem a little dark and heavy and clunky to me.
Love both pairs, but for the wedding I would go with the satin, looks a bit more delicate IMO.
I voted for the satin pair, but I would wear each pair for several hours and then pick which pair was most comfortable.
Satin, only because suede is better for fall/winter than spring.
Also, check out these shoes, too! I saw them posted on another board.

Satin will photograph better... Suede sort of absorbs the light while satin reflects it better.
BTW-did anyone tell you how cute the dog is?!
I pick satin because I think it goes better with the wedding...and probably not as expensive : )
@ doctorgirl - thanks fore the puppy compliment. I just added him onto the show us your pets thread. :)
@Erindesmar - you were right about the cost thing. Huge difference in price with these two.
@ BlushingBride530 - thanks for the link to the other shoes. I appreciate it. I think those are really pretty, however I am 5' and he is 6'4" so I really needed a platform and added height of a higher heel.
Thanks everyone for your opinions so far. I really love the CL shoes but the SW just seem to catch me for some reason...
I love them both. Here's an idea...why don't you wear one of them for the ceremony and the other for the reception?! That way, you can wear both and you don't have to settle for one or the other. Just a thought...
Both are gorgeous!!
@tessabella - I am pretty sure these shoes are available in pink. I am almost positive I saw them online somewhere. (I bought mine in sore at DSW). If I find them I will PM you.
THANKS LADIES - I am going to wear the Chinese Laundry Purple Satin. They are really pretty and actually slightly more comfortable than the others. I wore them around the house for a while yesterday and the CL shoes felt super, so the shoes made the decision for me. Plus I agree, the suede may be more fall than spring.
I have decided to send back the Stuart Weitzman. :( Sad to see them go, but the $230 I save will allow me to get extra flowers for the ceremony. So it's definitely worth it.
The Satin Shoes seem more comfortable due to the strap around the ankle. Great color! Shine bright on your wedding.
I love them both but am a sucker for suede. We picked Nine West purple peep toes for the bridal party and I wish I would have kept a pair for myself. The girl's dresses were navy but the purple was a perfect accent color!
I like the satin ones. Strangely, not only are we wedding date twins, but my bridesmaids' dresses are lavender and I searched high & low for purple shoes I loved but was rather unsuccessful... ended up going with blue ones instead.
i like the staurt weitzman ones because of the darker shade of purple.
Both shoes are lovely! I think you made the right decision, though.
My doggie loves getting in the middle of any picture I try to take as well. He's so nosy and loves being the center of attention! Yours is a cutie-pie!
The dog is adorable! But I don't think my brain registered that he's a miniature initially, so I thought the shoes were huge and was *really* confused. Not knowing the size of the dog really does a number on your perspective! ^_^ But he's the cutest! I want a dog *so* badly, but can't have one yet. I love min pins!
I see you've already chosen, but I will say that I agree with your choice in shoes. Hooray for purple shoe brides! I'm going to get mine dyed since I couldn't find the perfect match of purple to my BM dresses. CL shoes are definitely a winner.
I like the design of the suede shoes. I think they are classier.
perfecbound, sounds like they may be no longer available, but can you tell me the color and style of those Nine West shoes? I'm also planning to be a purple shoe bride, and those are the exact color I want!
BTW, was the the BM bouquet? gorgeous!
The satin shoes are amazing! I think that the color and the shine to them compliments any gown
I like the color of the dark purple ones, and that brand is so comfy. But I really like the design and shine satin ones. good luck!

Hello Hive,
I am hoping you can weigh in on my shoe decision. I am a purple shoe bride for sure, I have bought and returned about 6 pair of shoes so far. I have it narrowed down to these 2 as a final decision. I just cant decide which I like more.
They both have great qualities. Love the peep toe on both. One is satin and the other suede. One Chinese Laundry and the other Stuart Weitzman.
Here are the pictures below... I think a poll would be perfect for this one.
Few things about the wedding that may help you decide. The wedding is in the end of April (25th). outdoor ceremony, weather willing. Bridesmaids are lilac color. My dress is ivory and form fitted to the hips with a sweep train and minimal beading.
