They are really similar, but I voted for the first dress. I prefer the finer pleats. Have you tried them both on? You might find that one fits you better than the other?
I like the first one better. I really like the bodice part of it. It looks like it flows better and is more flattering on the figure. I like the belt more too - but I like blinged out belts with more simple dresses :)
both are beautiful, so similar. i think i prefer the 1st one. the tighter pleats look cleaner and i love the belt.
have you tried them on? which one do you feel amazing in??
@peabee: I like the first one also. There is something odd about how the pleats on the bodice on the second one sits.
The first dress' belt 'more bling' looks better, it sets off the dress.
However, you MUST TRY them on first. It is amazing what a difference trying on the actual dress makes on, because you are probably not 6'2" tall standing on a stool, and you won't be photoshoped!!
I like the first one a lot better. The blingy belt makes it stand out and I think the top looks cleaner
both are pretty ! I voted for the first one because I like the blingy sash and the tighter pleats :)
@Aussiemum: + 1
Always try on a dress (or similar one) before ordering!
My vote is for dress 2.
I actually tried on the second one and loved it. I was going to order it online when I saw the Mori Lee one. I like the tigher pleats on the bodice, but I think I like the skirt on the second one better. I'm going to look for a store that sells the Mori Lee one so I can try it on before I make my decision.
@peabee: I was going to comment with exactly what you said. The pleats on the bodice ahd the belt of the first with the skirt of the second would be lovely.
This could be a happy medium if you added a belt

I think the thicker belt of dress 1 is better for the line of the dress. The belt in dress 2 looks out of proportion to the rest of the dress.
That said - does dress 1 have pockets? While they're convenient, it bothers me what they might do for the line of the dress - and that is a style of dress where the line is crucial, since it's so simple.

I've pretty much narrowed it down to two dresses. They're both the same design, but with little differences in the details. Which one do you like more? The pleats are tighter on the bust in the first dress, and the belt is more blinged out. The pleates at the skirt are different too.
Dress One (Mori Lee 4969):
Dress Two (Ella Rosa BE118):
