So I just started trying on dresses and I'm feeling overwhelmed already and I can't seem to decide what style or material looks best on me. I'm 5'1 with no body shape whatsoever! Please give me your opinion and which one looks best/suits my body figure and/or photographs well.

The 3 dresses that I love are: 1. Maggie Sottero's Jenna 2. Jai by Allure 2359 and 3. Enzoani (BTW does anyone know what style this dress is???)

I really wanted to try on Maggie Sottero's Adorae but the dress was gone for a bridal show :( Any other petite brides have any suggestions on which designers or styles that would look good on me?

    Thanks!

I agree, I think the 2nd one looks best, the other 2 overwhelm your tiny frame.  You look lovely in all of them though.  I think I would like  the best if it wasn't so puffy on the bottom.  I like how the top part is fitted, and the flowered ribbon tie and the dropped waist, but it just flares too much at the bottom.  Maybe you will want to look some more for something like 3 but less puffy?

I voted for number two. I like the shape of it on you and I like the soft sweetheart neckline.

I am the voice of dissent as in all dress polls :) I think #3 is the prettiest dress, and #1 is most figure flattering. I just kinda glanced over #2, didn't catch my eye at all.

I think the 2nd looks best. The first does nothing for you; and while the 3rd dress is gorgeous, I think it has too much going on for your tiny frame.

I think #1 is the most figure flattering. Trumpet/mermaid looks great on you! Since you are so little I think the bottom of it may be a bit much or it could be because the dress is probably 5 times to big on you when trying on the sample...

Edit: I have a similar figure to you (aka. not much of one!) and #2 looks like an A-line style which give people like us no figure. My advice would be to try to avoid that style.

I'm surprised so many bees said number 2, when the other two are so stunning!

IMO, 2 is a little boring for you, its nice, but too traditional and simple for my taste. I LOVE LOVE LOVE 1, very fashionable! Which are my favorite types of wedding dresses!

Number 1 looks best on you, but I would say maybe shop around more if yuor wedding is really in July 2012. There is so much time between now and then, I feel like you could come up with a real jawdropper because you have a fab figure. I also agree with mc77 that mermaid/trumpet looks really lovely and does more for you than the A-line.

I think number 2 just looks amazing on you!! I think should totally get it!! But your wedding is a long way off (like mine) so maybe shop around a bit just be sure, or even hold off on ordering if you know you'll be able to get it a later date. Just in case

I was honestly going to vote for #2, but then I looked at them all again, and I just love the bottom of #1. I think it's unique and very flattering.

#1 by a landslide. With your figure, I would definitely go trumpet/mermaid as it will give you more definition. #2 is cute, but didn't really catch my eye, and it isn't as flattering.

No body shape?!?!  Please, you've got a lovely figure and look great in all!

I vote for 2 though, just my preference.

I like the first one, but think that slightly less of a sweetheart neckline would be more flattering on you.  I think the material and the cut and shape of it look awesome on you.

I bought #2 for my wedding dress, so I'm slightly biased!  It looks great on you...I just loved everything about it when I tried it on. :)

I have to admit, I'm glad to see so many people like #2.  I went shopping w/ mom (who liked it) & my aunts who were less than thrilled with it (I guess it wasn't traditional enough?).  Their lack of enthusiasm has been making me wonder if everyone was going to be confused by my dress choice.  I'm glad to see so many other people like it...makes me feel better! :)

    All 3 are stunning...but here's my input

    1.  Very flattering and absolutely stunning on you....the drop waist gives you height too and is great if your short...

    2.   looks like it fits you like a glove and on you it gives you that traditional look.  If you are a simple bride this would be perfect

    3.  The 3rd dress is a tad bit overwhelming... maybe b/c its way too big...although its very romantic looking. I think once hemmed this dress may make you look short b/c it has a drop waist w/ a belt on top of the drop waist therefore puts your body in sections (if that makes any sense).  I do however love the belt its very stunning.

If you don't go with these dresses....I like the following on you:

I definately love the sweatheart neckline on you.

If you are going to go w/ a drop waist don't add a bow/belt on top of that (Like the 3rd one b/c it seems to cut you off.

Fit and flare looks good on you b/c it gives you height

I definitely love the ruching on you.

Hope that helps and happy dress shopping.

i like the second and third.  since you are so little I would maybe try on a more "fit and flare" style. I ddin't think i wanted that style and once I tried it on i fell in love.  you might end up loving that style too. good luck!

I like #1 and #2.  If #1 had a different neckline, I would like it better.  I don't think the deep sweetheard works in that picture.  They maybe be able to change the neckline.
