To start off, I am not second quessing my dress, I just need help. I have my dress and I love it, but I have a few concerns. I have been trying to find similar dresses on other brides, however, there are not many brides who have posted pictures of the Galina WG 9830 dress from Davids Bridal.
Here is my dress with me in it:
Okay so my dilemma is, I don’t know if I should one, convert the back of the dress from a zipper to a lace up.I have a large bust size (34DD) and I am worried about slippage. My second dilemma is that I don’t know if I should wear a underskirt to add more flare to the bottom of the dress of keep it flowy.
Any suggestions and helpful imput would be greatly appreciated 😀 Thank You!

@rebekahgrace: i like the look of the underskirt only beacuse i have a ballgown but i think it would look nice…
as for the lase up i know , beacuse i got my dress at davids bridal, its about $200 to get it done…
if you go with the underskirt i would get the lase up back…
hope this helps

you look amazing!!! Would you prefer a corset back?? I love them but with my dress already having so much detail in the front and back,am keeping the zipper. But I think your’s would look gorgeous with a lace up back!!! I like it flowy:)

You look so pretty! I love it just the way it is. I think an underskirt and a lace up back might look off because of the empire waste.

I think I prefer your dress flowy-without the underskirt. As for the lace up, I had mine done for $100 at a bridal boutique. I am also large busted, and figured that a lace up was the best way to hold everything in place. I think it would look nice on your dress.

@pinkb: Good point, really did not notice that. Ya,keep it how you bought it. BUT if you would feel more supported,go with the corset back:)

I tried on this dress, and it was my front runner for a while. It looks wonderful on you though!
Here are some pictures of me in the dress…
I am pretty sure these pictures don’t have a crinoline (buuut the first one might? don’t know sorry…). I would go to the store though and ask to try with a crinoline. The second time I tried it on (maybe the first picture?? :/) they had me wear one. I think if you bought it at DB and you go back and say “ooh look I might give you MORE money”, they’d be happy to let you try it on.
Sorry I’m not more help! Good luck!

Very pretty dress! I like the idea of a laceup, but I haven’t tried any dresses on yet so I don’t want to give advice on it, per se 🙂

I thought the bodice had to be fitted to be able to put in a corset, and yours is loose and flowy from the bust down so I think the zip works best

If you want flowy definitely without an underskirt. Your dress is SO pretty on you and that veil goes really good with it! I love corset backs and they are so comfortable. I have one on my dress so I’m kinda biased. The corset backs look really good and you can tighten and loosen where you need to.

@JJsGirl_09: Thank you so much for the comments and such. I guess I was a little over whelmed with all the other big wedding dresses I see, that I forgot that the reason I got the dress was because it was me and it was flowy. Oh and the viel I ad my eyes on before the dress, and when I saw the dress, I was like, This is the one, didn’t even have to try it on. I guess I am just over thinking things, and trying to look like the perfect bride, when I should be me.
So to everyone else, thank you so much for your comments, especially the pictures, cause I feel now that while yes I could change it, but it woudl totally change the dress’s look on me, and I don’t want to risk it, so I am going to keep it the same, unless i loose weight dramatically for some reason in the next 8 months. I promise to add more picks and keep people posted 😀 Thank You!!!
By The Way @lrc3233: you said the galina was a front runner, so what was your final pick, I am curious to see if it was any of the others I was thinking of 😀

I got the veil also from davids bridal, it is one of the vera wangs.
As for an update, getting the dress hemmed in 2 week, and will put up pictures of that 😀
Just a side note, there will be no train, cause it’s looking like an elopement courthouse wedding right now 😀
