Looks like it was in scotts valley somewhere... I'm not sure exactly where. Probably a private estate since neither of the blogs they were featured on offered the venue name.
Check out Mackenzie Creek, Hakone Gardens, Nestldown, Mt Madonna Co. Park, The Mountain Terrace in Woodside.... There are lots of outdoorsy venues around these parts :)

@SumitaM: ralston mansion is closed for earthquake safety reasons as of April 1, 2012; my wedding was going to be there and we had to change locations...
Since the OP wanted a woodsy venue, maybe SumitaM was actually thinking of Ralston White Retreat (also a mansion in the Bay Area, but in the middle of a redwood forest in the North Bay) -- this is where we got married. It is 100 years old but is still open :-)

hi bees! I was surfing the web the other day and found these wedding pictures: http://www.reneewhiting.com/personal-santa-cruz-photographer-photography/congratulations-jim-keira/
They are gorgeous!! Does anyone recognize this venue? I've been looking for a woodsy/outdoorsy wedding venue in the SF bay area...santa cruz, saratoga, los gatos, even pleasanton/livermore.
I'm looking at Chaminade and Hollins House this weekend. I've also thought about the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, but I don't really want to bother with finding my own caterers. Any thoughts?
