I'm in need of a first dance song for me and my FH to dance to! We want something country/pop-country and loved Keith Urban's Making Memories of Us, but was used by a friend in their wedding 2 years ago. Do you have any suggestions of meaningful and awesome country first dance songs??? Much appreciated hive!

I think we may dance to "Somebody like you" by Keith Urban. I went to Texas A&M for college, and went two-stepping every Friday night - i'm going to teach my FI so we can do something fun and fast to dance to!
The only country I like is really old - but what about "To Love Somebody" by the Flying Burrito Brothers?
I think Jimmy Wayne's "You Are" is beautiful... or there's "Lost In This Moment With You" by Montgomery Gentry I believe.
"Lost in this Moment" is Big & Rich.
My brother and his wife danced to Tim McGraw's "Best Friend" which is a great tune.
Kenny Chesney "Woman With You" & I really love Kenny's "Anything but Mine" however not all the lyrics are wedding material.

Hands down my favorite is Martina McBride's "My Valentine" Makes me cry every time I hear it!! So touching & sweet.

Ours was "From This Moment On" (Shania), but we also considered "Keeper of the Stars," "I Just Call You Mine" and "My Best Friend"
I love "Me & You" by Kenny Chesney, FI & I are dancing to "I Do (cherish you)" by Mark Wills which is kinda country but not 100%, "Its your love" by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill is another great one. Hope that helps!

e're using the new one by Alan Jackson. Not sure but I think it's called "The Way it Is" or something close to that.
I know that you wanted pop country but, my FI and I are using Dolly Parton "rockin years" It is a beautiful song and fits us so perfectly...it makes a wonderful wedding song! Check it out :)
If you want to go really old school you could waltz to Ann Murray's "Could I Have This Dance". The lyrics are perfect for a first dance...Could I have this dance for the rest of my life. Would you be my partner every night? When we're together it feels so right...could I have this dance for the rest of my life? (chorus).
I remember being 10 years old and seeing a couple dance to this at a wedding I went to with my parents. It was so beautiful and it's one of the few wedding images that has stuck with me all these years.
"It's your Love"....we used the acoustic tim mcgraw version. but the duet is very country! and it's a very sweet song

I love Josh Turner's "Would You Go With Me" but it is kind of fast for a first dance...
We used LeDoux's "Look at You Girl". J and I are also loving "Give Me That Girl" by Joe Nichols.
How about Garth Brooks, "To make you feel my love" from the movie Hope Floats?
Oooo! I looked a long time for this too and randomly came across a song called "Never Alone" by Jim Brickman and sung by Lady Antebellum - It was on Jim Brickman's CD (a piano player) NOT Lady Antebellums so I dont' think it has ever been released on the radio as a single which means not many people have heard (or used) it. It is PERFECT for a first dance song and soooo sweet!
Only You Can Love Me This Way by Keith Urban...that is what my fiance and I are dancing to for our first dance! I also love God Bless the Broken Road but my best friend and her husband used that- or Lost in this Moment!

@KArthur123 - I am a HUGE Lady Antebellum fan and just looked up the song "Never Along" and fell in love with it. What a great song
Yay! I LOVE it too! It brings tears to my eyes every time! I love the message that even though you might grow and change your love won't end, you'll never have to face life alone, so beautiful! Plus I love that it isn't super popular or overused so it can really be "yours" :) Best of luck, I'm sure whatever you end up using it will be a special memory!
