Kenzie, have you spoken to the dry cleaners? They should offer you some compensation if that streak was their fault, whether it is trying to get the streak out or monetary.
I guess my situation is a little odd... I'd taken the dress to a seamstress to get some alterations done. She called and suggested we send it to the dry cleaner before she continue, since it was a sample dress (and there was some dirt along the hem), I figured it was fine to send it in.
Well, the seamstress called me after the dress came back and I went to visit it... there are gray streaks on the bodice, and a few marks on the skirt.
The dry cleaner said that the marks were already present, and that is why they cleaned it twice (and charged me for 2 cleanings). The seamstress has worked with my family for about 20 years, and I don't imagine she'd damage my dress and not tell me.
So, neither is willing to compensate me for the damage to the dress. Perhaps sending the before-after photos would help...
I actually feel I should repost this question pertaining to the dress :) with a separate post for the coverup.
Random question...do you still have your lace bolero and are you willing to sell it?
Thanks!
Maybe look at some Etsy boleros for ideas? I liked quite a few of the ones there, but ended up adding straps to my dress instead.

Long story short, my Vera Wang wedding dress (came from Macy's Sample Sale) went to the dry cleaner and came back with a streaky gray stain across the bodice. Eek! I can't wear it and don't know if sending it to a different dry cleaner can even help this issue, and I'd rather not throw more money into a damaged dress if I can prevent it.
At any rate... I'm thinking I'll get this dress... http://priscillaofboston.com/dress_detail.jsp?gid=24&sfid=228&f or something like it, but can't seem to figure out what to get for a coverup (since my alencon lace bolero wouldn't look very nice with this style).
Does anyone have a good suggestion?! I mean, I could have the satin from my destroyed Vera made into a coverup, I suppose, but I need ideas on what would work with a lace dress!
Thanks!
Kenzie
