At this point I would set aside a couple of days and schedule a bunch of appointments a different bridal shops and try everything on. It wouldn’t hurt and you might find something that surprises you.

Or you could go the separates route. I love this idea because you can make it whatever you want it to be. You could even buy a big ballgown skirt for the ceremony and then a mermaid skirt for the reception, if you can’t make up your mind.

I do not feel that it is Plain whatsoever… Yes I do agree that there isn’t BLING but with the details in the top as breathtaking as they are who needs blling… lol … and as you can tell from that picture the skirt is light a flowy.. and again would not swallow you up… lol I never looked at Haily Page when I went dress shoppin… I love my dress but I’m sure I would have found some of hers that caught my eye…

Look into buying a preowned wedding dress as well 🙂 I bought pre owned, and while it’s not preferred by most (i also would have preferred a brand new dress) I got it much cheaper, perfect condition, perfect size and already bustled, and I got it 3 days after I paid for it…

I went to every salon around me, and I couldnt find a dress I liked that I could get within a 4 month period, much less get alterations done too…

I like the second dress Blackraine suggested. The lace and skirt make it really romantic. What if you were to “dress it up” with your accessories if you feel you’d like some bling?

rosemaryandthyme :  Look at WTOO, Willowby, and Watters (all same company). I’m really petite also (4’11) and they had a lot of A-Lines that complimented my shape and were light and airy and had the feeling of a ballgown without being overwhelming. I know BHLDN carries some too which might have a quicker turn around for limited timeframe!
