I am thinking ahead because my wedding is not untile next September, but I do want to plan to grow my hair longer etc…
I have fine hair and once my hair gets beyond my shoulders it loses volume and gets stringy so I thik a full up do is out for me. I also don’t think a full up do is really my style.
I love vintage looking weddings and my veil is a birdcage/full blusher. I think I would like a half up hairstyle with vinatge inspiration. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I am going with a vintage look, but all my hair will be down. One thing that you can do is a swoop over one ear & pin ( I was going to do this but during my trial liked all the hair down.
Here are a few of my inspiration pics!

I might have very similar hair to you, very fine, lots of it and actually it is better to have an updo, even though I really wanted a half up and half down but I knew it would be very limp by the end of the day. Here is what I am doing.
It might be good to talk to your stylist about types of hair styles that would work for your hair before you get your heart set on something that won’t work.

coloradobride12—I love your hair, but I don’t think I can grow my hair out long enough to have a detailed up do like yours.
I will try to talk to my sylist about my hair, but that is hard because she is not going to be the person doing my hair on the day of because my wedding is on the opposite side of the city.

hmmm but maybe your stylist would have an idea of what types of styles would work for you…
Yeah…my hair is pretty long right now (not to the bra strap yet), I am SOOO ready to cut it off after the wedding 🙂

Jaylii9: how long is your hair? (sorry if i’m just being blind and missed it.) my hair is thick but super-fine, but i’m forcing it into the first style i’m attaching — the rolled-sides, rolled-back 1940s-ish look.
i’ll attach a few other vintage ideas i love.
love the back-braids — but you need thick hair for that one, huh?

Sleepylittlesailor– My hair is above my shoulders right now. I can grow it a little past my shoulders. Any longer and it looks weighted with no volume. I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine. The rolled style just might work and thanks for the other pics as well!
