My fiance suprised me with a wonderful proposal. Since we share a home and a bank account together, it would have been next to impossible for him to propose with a ring, without me finding out. Fortunately my mom and grandmother had given him my great great grandmother’s ring. It is 105 years old. We had planned to pick out another engagement ring and matching wedding band before our wedding. However, I think it would be really neat to keep my engagement ring. The trouble is, if I do this, I would really like to be able to wear a band with it. I was been in touch with Brilliant Earth regarding a custom ring, but haven’t gotten that far into the process. At this point, it has been discussed that one of their rings could be contoured to fit this ring.
This ring http://www.brilliantearth.com/Luxe-Antique-Scroll-Ring-(3/4-ct.-tw.)-White-Gold-BE244/#ReviewHeader is what was suggested. However, I’m having a hard time envisioning if it would go. I really want something that matches, but also has diamonds along the top. Does anyone have any suggestions? I haven’t been able to find any pictures of my style of rings with a wedding band, as this style of ring wasn’t meant to be worn with a band. Any suggestions would be much appreciated 🙂
