My engagement ring is a .32 ct round stone. I had told my now-fiance that I wanted something small and simple for my e-ring but he might have taken that a little more literally than I meant. Don’t get me wrong, I really do love my ring (the diamond itself is super sparkly and pretty) and I know he made some sacrifice in order to get it for me (he sold his beloved guitar!) which makes it all the more special. He also mentioned that the jewelry store he got it at will allow you to trade in the diamond for the price he paid and get an upgrade at any time in the future (which is an awesome deal) and that maybe some day in the future we could upgrade.
Basically, I’m looking for a wedding ring that will give some “oomph” to my small stone without being overpowering and still let the e-ring shine as the focal point. I didn’t think I liked the idea of stones all the way around the wedding band, but I have found some I actually like a lot. I have also looked into some wraps/enhancers but I’m afraid they might not look right with a small stone.
Here are some photos of my ring. I think it looks a little bigger in photos than in person because of the way its mounted and the platinum head is super shiny/reflective:
I like these two options from Blue Nile, but I kind of want to find something a little more unique. I like anything with more of a vintage-y feel.
Any help is appreciated! 🙂

I think what might work best for you is a ring enhancer Like These
Edit to say: I think your ring is really lovely as is!

I love your e-ring!
I think both bands you selected would go beautifully with your ring. I personally like the second band better, but if you want a more vintage looking ring then I’d definitely go with the first of the two.

I love both of those rings that you posted. Just enough sparkle, but not overpowering 🙂

Very classy looking ring, perfect size. I would go with the first band!

I think your ring is just gorgeous! Looks perfect on you! I also love your nails, polka dots are my favorite! I feel like pavé bands look best with solitaires. Something to sparkle but still show off your ring with a little extra oomph! I like these from Blue Nile bc it has diamonds on all sides
I also love both bands you picked out and think they would both look great!

I like the second link you posted. It’s understated so will let your e-ring shine!

I think the first one you posted is super pretty!!

I love the second one you posted. Either way you can’t go wrong!

Thanks for the input everyone. Even though I really like the first one I think the second would probably go better. Wish I could try all the Blue Nile’s in person! The wedding isn’t til October so I have plenty of time to decide. I think I would like to try on some enhancers in person as well.

I like the first one! I think you should get whichever one you like. That’s more important than if they ‘go’ together. I mean, obviously you want them to look good together. But you should love it independently as well. Either one will look lovely though. 🙂

@yeslek312: Anyone that carries Unique Settings mountings will be able to show you samples. Good Old Gold has the samples in their showcase, and they are not as pricey as Blue Nile. Check some of the local jewelry stores. Worst case, order a sample or casting in sterling silver. They can copy it or order it in gold if you like it and make it cheaper too.

They have a wedding band like your first one on jared.com for about half the price. I really love the first one and I am leaning toward something like that for my sapphire, if they can some how adjust my ering or the wedding band to fit (I have a low setting)
