So before I tried on this sash I should have looked at the price because now every sash I try on doesn’t compare. Thing is it is too much at $400 but I can’t stop thinking about it. Anyone know where I can buy a similar sash? It had a thick band, didn’t seem satin, and gathered toward the center. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I know what you mean… I tried on a Kitty Chen Couture rhinestone belt with my dress, but refused to pay what amounted to half the cost of my dress just for a belt. At (what I thought was) my last dress fitting, the alterations manager heard me talking to my Maid/Matron of Honor about a belt, and on a whim, she brought out one that she thought would work. It wasn’t Kitty Chen Couture, but it was still very pretty, and she discounted it to $75, and tacked it to the sides of my dress.
I would recommend Etsy. There are lots and lots (and lots) of rhinestone/crystal belts on there. Many of the sellers will also craft something especially for you, and he/she can use your photo of the Allure belt to make one for probably half the cost.

@Mrs Canuck: Thanks! I’m having my first fitting today and I’m definitely going to mention to her. Hopefully I can find a nice brooch on etsy or elsewhere to attach to the sash.
