Hello Bees, Im here to request some help finding THE DRESS!

Some of you know Ive tried on a whole lot of dresses (currently 92) and havent found one that makes me happy.

I want a sweetheart neckline, with rouching up top, a short-ish train, and some sparkle.

On my last shopping trip, a store owner convinced me to try on a plain dress. The fit was nice, but there was no sparkle, but she explained how we could dress it up with rhinestone appliques, etc.

I LOVE this idea. Usually my biggest problem with dresses Ive tried on (aside from fit) is the placement of the "bling".

The dress I tried on was this one: Pronovias Harlem.

The pricetag was a bit larger than Id prefer especially since Im going to have to shell out some more cash to make it what I really want.

Im wondering if any bees can help me find a dress that has a fairly dramatic sweetheart, strapless, rouching, plain wedding dress for... under $800?

omg that dress is gorgeous.  If it fits you, I would say get it and forget the sparkle.  The beauty and elegance of this dress is that it doesn't need "bling" because the workmanship and pleating of the fabric is so luxurious on it's own that it far surpases the elegance and "speacialness" any rhinestones could add.

Have you tried la sposa fanal?  I think it goes for around 1100, but I know you can add the sweetheart train, etc AND definitely check on the preowned sites to see if you can find it in your size for a great price...Help me find my dream dress? : wedding LaSposa%20Fanal

I immediately thought of MoriLee 2105 or 2306.  Good luck, girl!

I'm almost right there with you, been out shopping 5 times.  6th trip will be this weekend.  7th will be in January and in January I'll make my decision.

Oh my gosh, I know the perfect dress, but it's not on Maggie's site anymore!!!! It's called Perla. I tried it on and it is AMAZING! Has the ruched sweetheart neckline, only a very short sweep train, strapless, no beads or sparkles or anything, and was around $600. Here is the best picture I can find, not being able to get it off the Maggie site. It's very small....seriously, call some bridal shops that carry Maggie dresses and ask if they have this one. You NEED to try this one on!!!!

You should look into Maggie Sottero and Sottero and Midgley.  My best friend wore a Sottero and Midgely gown for her wedding and it looked a lot like the one you are looking at, only it has some beading/crystals down the side and was around $700.

Style: SSM5049 on the sottero midgely site

Styel: Christina on the Maggie site

Again I suggest my dress, which Mrs. Espresso wore http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/09/03/weekend-mountain-wedding-the-dress-comes-on/ It has lots of rouching, shorter train, and a detachable broach (ms. espresso didnt wear it but it has bling). If you want the price PM and I'd be happy to tell you!

First, I have to say that I LOVE the Pronovias gown (I'm a Pronovias bride: Grecia...similar to this, but one-shoulder)  One way I'm blinging it up a bit is by putting a large brooch at the strap and another at the hip.  The hip ne might work for you too...

I second the suggestion to check out Mikaella. They have some lovely gowns, and they're the same company as Paloma Blanca, only cheaper.
