I just had a look at youtube and typed in religious wedding songs and there were a couple of good videos. One was called He Has Chosen You For Me and the other was God Knew That I Needed You. Both beautiful songs with a religious undertone.
I just picked out my wedding music for my catholic wedding today and yes they want you to use church music. I decided to use an instrumental piece for the procession. Some of the songs offered to me were:
Trumpet Voluntary
Canon in D
And the one I choose, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring
I've heard them all before but I like Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring because it sounded upbeat.
Just in case your wondering, here are the other songs I choose.
Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts: Sing out earth and skies
Communion: One bread one body
Recession: Hornpipe (Instrumental)
If you're having trouble deciding you can always see if you can set a meeting with the ceremony muscian to hear some samples, that's what I did. Hope this helps.

Basically I come from a culture of very strict catholicism, so priests will probably only let us play something religious. I DO NOT want to someone singing the ave maria at our wedding, I swear if I hear that song one more time at a wedding i'll rip my ears off!
Does anyone know of a good song which is not traditional but might be appropriate? I'm looking for something soft and sweet, like the acoustic version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Please help me, I'm so sure about what I want for this wedding, but I just can't seem to get this one detail right. lol...that just made me sound so Bridezilla.
