I need some design advice, I am horrible with this sort of stuff.. My SO and I just moved into our new house and I can’t stand the color of the walls and I want to paint them ASAP, they are currently a pale yellow/off white throughout most of the house and in the bathroom it is most definitely yellow!! My main issue is, my kitchen is a peachy color and our carpets is a dark grey in the bedrooms and lounge.. What color/colors could I paint the house to blend in with both of these..?
I’ve attached a few photos to give you an idea, also the sofas in the lounge will be gone as of today and we are getting a black leather sofa!!

I would go yellow/orange in the kitchen, and steel gray in the living room!

@BrandNewBride: Yellow/Orange walls? I’ve never seen that before.. I can’t even picture it in my head lol 🙂 the living room and kitchen are only separated by an arch/walkway would it clash?

@Brickette: I’d just go a neutral shade like cream or beige just stay away from anything too yellow based and go more pinky. I’m really boring but I think walls should be neutral especially with your bench top. Goodluck

You have a pink beige in your kitchen hard surfaces. If I were you, I would head over to Maria Killam’s blog and read about how to deal with pink beige. That woman is a genius with color and coordinating undertones!

@Brickette: I mean like an orangey-yellow color… Like something Tuscan! Like Terracotta! And I like cool/warm color contrasts… But maybe that’s just me!

@Brickette: I’m a huge fan of medium grey with colorful accents or slate grey/bue. 🙂 With the black couches maybe a nice cool gray would work! 🙂 And some colorful pillows!
