Do you remember what color they were or if they had a graphic on them? Do you remember any of the wording?
try searching again. There are so many ways to use velum in invitations. Youc an have a picture on a crd then the invite on velum in front of the picture or vice versa. Need help with invitations? PM me.
i dont think mine are what you had in mind, but we used velum. i was iffy about it at first - it totally reminds me of bad 90's invitations. i cant stand wording on velum as an overlay (no offence, anyone). this is how we used it:

So not to long ago on here someone posted their DIY invitations. All I remember is that I thought they were REALLY cute and they had a vellum (or something similar) envelope. Any ideas?
