    Hi all,

For my tablescape, I will be doing the linen in the middle of my inspiration board, with a carnation pomander in a vase (probably dark purple, although do you think fuchsia is better??) surrounded by white luminaries--probably different shapes & sizes & textures, but all white.  That will be the only decoration on the tables except the napkin.  So, I think I really like the black vase that has the peach-colored rose pomander in it, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find something like this?  Also, is there any other suggestions for different types of vases to use?

What also do you think about the tablescape I suggested?  I like it b/c it should be simple & tone down the "POW"-ness of the linen, and also be pretty cheap (I'm thinking vellum and other cardstocks for the luminaries & I would be using led candles).  No one else can really see my vision for this, and I can't set it up yet to see if it actually does look good!  I would love to hear what other people think.  Sound like a good idea?  Too little? Too much?

I think the carnation pomader is such a cool idea. I would do both fuschia and dark purple, to play up the colors in the linens.

I'm not sure where you could find tall black vases exactly like that, but I bet you could find clear glass ones similar in shape at local thrift stores, and spray paint them black.

The vase in the corner that didn't come through so great is another option that I found on sav-on craft.  At least its an option, but I definitely like the other one better.

I've seen things LIKE the vases I like above, but they are more candlesticks, so they aren't deep enough.  If I am using the pomander, is there a way to connect it to the "vase" even if there isn't room to put a stick or something into the container?

What about candlesticks?? They will have the same overall effect but will have more weight on the bottom to support the pomander.

@jamaica - I'm up for that possibility definitely (especially since I think I will be able to find more of the style that I am looking for with candlesticks, but how would I keep the pomander from falling off?

I would ask a florist, I'm sure they have some kind of supplies or tricks they use for these types of vases.

I have that black vase (in blue, but the same vase).  I think you can weight it down with sand and it would hold a pomander fine.

@moneypenny02....I have some candlesticks that are similar and they actually have a spike about an inch long in the center to make the candle stay on the candlestick. I am not sure if the ones in the photo I posted do or not but I am sure they sell some that do.
