Hi Bunette- I too just started getting back in shape but unlike you I've only got until December to do it! I haven't used this very much, but you might want to look at Shape Magazine online's Shape Your Body Plan. You enter your personal info, it calculates your BMI, and you can customize workouts to meet your goals. Good luck!
You should check out my roommies blog, http://munchercruncher.blogspot.com/. She posts all kinds of fun recipes and little workout tips. Leave her a comment, I bet she would write some posts specifically for you about any questions you have!
I'm a big fan of sparkpeople.com (which was recommended here on Weddingbee!). It's really a lifestyle-change website - they have workouts as well as nutrition help.
Bunette-
I think a great thing for those who are not so sure about what to do in a gym is an podcast workout! I'm a runner and have never really used one for training, but my friend on the east coast used an itunes 5K training podcast! It was awesome...you get on the treadmill and the trainer is right in your ear telling you to stretch, speedup, slowdown, etc! And the music is up beat and fun! I love having someone telling me to push harder, run faster!
Good Luck!
PS...we just set our date today...08.08.09...eeeekkk....yeah!
Hello,
My wedding is in August, and I started the nutrisystem diet three months ago, PLUS working out almost every day if possible. I run about 1 mile straigh and then walk two more. total lost is 15 pounds in three months, but lots of hard work :) Good luck, you can do it.
Another Big fan of spark people! A great free site!
Weight watchers has a discounted rate if you want to just use their website. Still costs some $ but I think it helps A LOT with the food side of things and you can track your exercize there.
If you're looking for a free site with some good advice try:
They have pictures of how to do the excerises and how to set up your exercise plan to suit your needs.
You must log in to post.

Hello Hive!
Okay, so it's almost exactly a year until my wedding and I HAVE to get into shape. This is something I need to do for my heath as well, regardless of wedding. What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of a website where one can enter personal information and tell what they want to work on, and have a good workout made up for them. I am slightly clueless about working out, and there are some areas I really need to target. Or, if there are any kind personal trainers out there who might give me a little bit of guidance, you'd be my fairy god-person. Thanks!
