@Leonard2B:  I’m also staying at La Toc! I just booked directly through their website. They have specials running frequently.

I would definitely encourage you to meet with a travel agent.   He or she can provide you with recommendations of properties about which he or she — or the agency’s other agents or clients — may have firsthand knowledge. A travel agent also has access to information regarding a variety of travel packages and deals, and there is no additional cost to the customer to use these services.

If you’re set on Mexico, I would recommend looking into Puerto Vallarta.  It’s a really nice area that isn’t as Spring Break-y as other parts oF Mexico and has some great all-inclusive adults only resorts.  FI and I went there 5 years ago on our first vacation together and loved it, and our friends honeymooned there.

In regards to Mexico I would look into the Riviera Maya. I’ve been looking into for my one day maybe destiantion wedding. It’s about thirty minutes from Cancun but doesn’t have the wild spring break feel. Putero Vallarta can be expensive to stay and especially to fly into. I would recommend The Royal Playa del Carmen it’s a beautiful resort gets great review it’s adults only and all inclusive. It can be a little on the pricey side but it’s worth the splurge. They also have a sister resort on the same property called Gran Porto Real it’s still all inclusive but not adults only is a bit more affordable. There are other resorts in Mexico that are just as great. I recommend checking out trip advisor for reviews. While a travel agent can help I also think you can book your own great vacation your self. Although I have seen a company beach bums recommended they search for you given your criteria for free. If you want to book on your own I recommend you check out http://www.b2cvacations.com and http://www.allinclusiveoutlet.com and just do a search for resorts in mexico and compare prices. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions feeel free to message me.

We have been to the all inclusive Palace Resort in Cancun and it was absolutely beautiful. It’s a huge resort with a lovely spa, several different types of restaurants on the grounds, several pool areas to choose from and as an added bonus you can go to other Palace resorts in the area on a free shuttle if you want to experience something else for a day. We loved it. We went in April of last year and there was no Spring Break vibe there. It is not adults only so there were families but we were not bothered and the service was unbelievable. A bit pricey but well worth it.

@Miss Orchard:  I second tripadvisor, although it can be a little overwhelming if you don’t have a specific area in mind. However, I think it’s the best place to get honest reviews from real travelers.

Sites like Luxury Link also have some great resorts and you can sometimes score pretty awesome deals on them.

My Fiance and I only researched Villas. Do you guys have a budget? Maybe you should look into villas because they have everything you want + privacy and the room. Just google resorts in Mexico and sites will come up with input options like budget etc.

@RoyalLime:  My husband and I just went to the El Dorado Royale about 20 mins outside of Cancun, Mexico just last month and it was AMAZING and not scary at all. We even did 2 excursions (swimming with dolphins and checking out Chichen-Itza). You should definitely check out that resort because it’s adults only, and they treat you like a queen!
