She can be a hostess for the ceremony and the reception!
I second the reading! I have a friend that's really too flaky to be a bridesmaid, but I wanted to include her somehow so if she decides to show up, she'll do a reading. If she decides not to... well, I guess someone's Aunt can do it.
You can have her give a toast at the reception (if you're not opening those up to any guest who'd like to give one) or you can put her in charge of gifts, managing cocktail hour (since you'll probably be taking pictures) or your bouquet.
Could you include a House Party?
I have the same problem as KMSull with a couple of close-but very flaky friends. I didn't know if I could count on them to buy a BM dress, so they they are going to be my House Party.
If you haven't heard of it, here is a link:

So I kind of formed a house party without even knowing it existed, lol

Ok, so I made a boo-boo...I picked out my 3 bridesmaids and my matron of honor and forgot to include a very good friend! I looked into ordering another bridesmaids dress but they are sold out...my mom suggested I use her at the guest registry as the attendant there, but my fiance already promised his niece that duty..any ideas on where I can include her?
