My Fiance proposed to me infront of a sign like at a botanical garden. I think this would be cute to have on the stage of our reception hall. Unfortunately, buying a large sign like this isnt in the wedding budget.
I am a DIY bride and wouldn’t mind making this. I just have no idea how to.
If anyone has any idea on how to make it or what i can make it out of and keep the price low, it would be greatly appreciated!

You could cut them out of large sheeets of white foamboard insulation. Use a projector to project the letter shapes onto the foam sheets, then cut them out with an electric carving knife.

@julies1949 Thanks Julies! I appreciate the help. I was hoping for larger letters. The foam board I have is posterboard size. Maybe large pieces of styrofoam glued together? They sell them in large chunks, dont they?

@aenriquez311: What about very medium to thick corrugated cardboard covered with white posterboard or white posterboard?
You could use regular corrugated cardboard or you can get very heavy duty corrugated cardboard here?!
Double-Thick Corrugated Sheets & Pads
double Wall Sheets:
Or-You may be able to use heavy type foam?
Use this as your instructions: (these are shown using numbers)

The foam board is a good idea. Go to your home improvement store like Lowes/Home Depot and buy the larg insulation foam sheets (they are 8′ by 4′ I believe).
I’ve done the large cardboard numbers from http://ohhappyday.com/2011/08/how-to-make-a-number-pinata/
and I just paper mached them over and painted (instead of a pinata look).

@aenriquez311: I would just buy the thickest foamboard they have.
