I was not impressed. They have very few wedding photos in their gallery and one of them is completly blurry. You would think that they would only put the best of the best on their website. All of their shots are very posey and I did not get a good sense of connection between the couples or the emotions of the day in their shots. I looked at their package that corresponds to my photographer’s package and while you are getting many of the same things eg. engagement session and album their shoot quality and editing is inferior. You are also not getting a copyright release on your photos, that’s and extra $400 charge. One thing that also threw up a bit of a flag for me was the number of photos you are garanteed, it’s about half of what my photographer is garanteeing us. If I were you I would keep looking.

@jenniferleighh:   The poses are stilted, as if the photographer asked the subject to stand in an awkward way and hold it for twenty minutes.  Not a single pose looked natural to me.  My joints hurt after looking at the gallery of images.

My vote is to keep looking.

@jenniferleighh:  This work is pretty darn bad. I can tell just based on the style of dresses/hairstyles in the images that they were shot a good 5-7 years ago. The photos on their facebook page are even worse, and they haven’t posted anything there at all since April 26 – that is a BIG red flag. I would never in a million years hire these folks. Two crappy photographers are not worth more than one great one.

I hate to say anything negative but I would not hire these people for your wedding. I can probably take better pics with my professional camera and I’m into photography as a hobby..

How concerned are you with getting a photo book, prints, wrapped picture to mount, etc. right after the wedding?

I’m asking because I’m currently “photography shopping” (though I think we’ve finally found the one) and at first I was so concerned with getting a “good package” for a good price. You know, prints.. blown up pics to hang.. a photo book.. Only probably was, we don’t have a $5,000+ photography budget at the moment and all the photographers we liked will cost over that in order to get all these extras. So now we’re spending our photography budget on hiring two photographers that are amazing, get the online album of the pics, and then a few months after the wedding, we will look into purchasing printing rights and an album. We decided we don’t want all the “extras” that a less talented photographer will give in their package (as a way of getting people to book them), and would rather just have amazing pics of the day captured on camera. So we’re literally spending our $3500-$4000 photo budget on just two photographers, editing of the pics, and an online album for now..

I asked for advice on here a few weeks ago about whether to hire a more experienced, expensive photographer vs a cheaper one that gave more extras in their package, and a bee said to me… What are you going to want with prints, pics to hang, an album, etc. if you don’t even like the pictures taken? That kind stuck with me.

Just my two cents.
