I am having an awful time choosing a BM dress! I love so many, and have a hard time making up my mind!
- November evening wedding
- Colors- not set in stone
- 5 girls, shortest 5’2” tallest 5’9”
Current dresses I am considering for the girls (both different!)
Bebe pleated strapless dress in cloud pink
Vera Wang chiffon column dress in Amethyst

I threw in a vote for the Vera Wang, but i’m really not too sure about the fit. Could be a little risky…

Thats a toughy! They’re both lovely. Voted for the Vera Wang since it’s floor length and it’s something I would enjoy wearing since I look about 5 if I wear light pink and I’m not a fan of strapless. I think it would cover a multitude of sins (although the model is TINY). I know people who don’t like their collarbone or legs and the first would make them feel a little exposed. This is me trying to be logical about it 🙂

I vote for the bebe dress. The vera is pretty but all that draping could really be unflattering on a few different body types. Unless all your girls are slim, I’d be careful about draping in th hip and butt area.

The first one. The Vera would be quite hard to carry off.

My vote is for the Bebe dress – very pretty!

Bebe! I think I would be alot more comfortable and confident in it.

My only issue with the Bebe one is that it kind of makes the model look pregnant from the side view =o/

@MadameTussaud: yes, this is very very true. and she is stick thin!!

I like the first one better in general, but it’s a little too summery for an evening November wedding. That’s my opinion anyways. If you’re going to do the first one, I’d definitely think about some kind of sweater or shawl.

I voted for the Bebe one although the length of the high-low might be awkward for the shorter girls (I say this from experience, I’m 5’3″ and those types of dresses usually fall oddly on me). Hopefully it’s an easy material to get hemmed.

I threw in a vote for the Vera Wang – it’s lovely…but I do see how the draping could highlight the wrong areas for more curvy girls. The length and color are more appropriate for a November wedding, IMO.
