I voted B...I like the neckline better on A, but overall the 2nd is more sophisticated and I tend to not like pickups...
I like dress B better. I'm not a fan of the pickups on dress A, but the sweetheart neckline is nice on you.
They're both really nice but I like Dress A a little better. I think the neck and waistline looks better on you.
I love B. The v-neck looks lovely on you and it's very dramatic. :) Is that taffeta?
@spinningjenny - yes, dress B is taffeta. Dress A is satin.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. It's a tough call! I always envisioned wearing a v-neck (with straps) but I'm surprised how I keep thinking about the Casablanca one.
I just think the neckline is so flattering on the Casablanca, and I like how the draping is slanted, instead of wrapped straight across the body.
I voted for Dress B. You look great in both but there's something about the V-neck that really looks great on you. Plus I prefer the train on B better than than A.
I vote B. Me no likey pick ups in general. I love the neckline, too. I usually like sweethearts, but the asymmetry of it is less aesthetically pleasing--it makes one boob look bigger and one look smaller. Does that make sense? LOL. I think #2 is just classic and makes your figure look really nice. And I REALLY like the deep V in the back!!!!
I love the sweetheart neckline of A. I'm biased, though, because those are the types of dresses that I've been looking at. Both look great on you, though.

With dress B, I would be buying the floor sample to get it within my price range. (Dress A I can order custom within my price range). Should that be a factor? Are there any major drawbacks to buying a sample if the fit is decent/would just need minor alterations?
@PrettyFlowers: I bought a floor sample, and a lot of other ladies on here have. Are you getting a discount though? I definitely saved money by buying the floor sample vs. ordering. I think as long as you check it over and make sure there's no problems with it, it's fine!
How many sizes too big is the floor model. I've heard 2 sizes is fine, and that sometimes more is also fine but you're moving into more sketchy territory.
Personally I like the Casablanca better but I like buttons and ruching and just usually lean less towards beading or sparkly's.
I like dress A more than dress B. I think the neckline looks great on you and I think it is more flattering on you than dress B.

For Dress B, the sample is probably about 1 size too big (they had to clip it in through the midsection)... I would be paying $800 (they quoted me $1200 if I were to order it custom). So sounds like a pretty safe bet as long as it's free of obvious stains and damage? The shop said they'd have it cleaned for me at no cost.
I like the sweetheart neckline of the first but not the pickups. love the dramatic back train of the second
@ Diva - I'm having a small wedding at a country inn in New England. Both ceremony and reception will be held indoors there. Ceremony will probably start around 5pm. There will be a cocktail hour then a sit-down meal. I would say the vibe is more semi-formal than formal.
Do you think one dress is more formal than the other? With B, it has a serious train starting from the waist that I might want to have shortened a bit (if I end up going w/ that one), I feel like it's a little much for my setting.
I love that pickup skirt.. but i love the neckline on the 2nd one...maybe you can find something thats a nice mixture of both :) good luck

Dress A here!! I am also biased though- sweetheart are my favorite necklines ever!! both look great on you!
Dress B looks a little too big I think you may need too many alterations, I like the SH neckline of A biut not the pic up, do u like the pic up if so, go for it, But my suggy is to find a dress with The Bottom similar to dress B that u can buy new.
I voted for dress B simply because I do not like pickups at all (that's just my opinion), but I do like the top part of A....are there other dresses you looked at as well? I ended up having to buy a sample (it was my second dress purchased less than 2 months before the wedding) and I am a street size 0-2 and had no problem having it altered to fit me. They are definitely cutting you a great deal...just inspect EVERY aspect of the dress for stains, damage, etc... prior to committing. Regarding the train, they can easily shorten it to whatever length you want...my train also came down from the waist.
The taffeta will be SO comfortable...the silk will be hot and heavy (part of the reason I ended up getting a second dress).

OOO. I love both dresses, but I think A looks a little better on you!! You can't go wrong either way though... Go with whichever one feels best!!! I could just feel it when I tried mine on.
DEFINITELY dress A. I wore a Casablanca as well on my wedding day. You just can't go wrong.
My vote goes for dress B but I guess im bias that is my wedding dress.... I loved it. It made me feel beautiful.. didnt like the strapless or pickups.. the train is definetly long but I had a bustle put on... tell us what you pick.. good luck

Dress A! I love the pickups! I LOVE that dress...I would SO wear that dress. GORGEOUS!!!
I believe Dress A compliments your body style better. Makes you look like if you have a narrower waist and slims the hips (I figure most people want that). Nice curve structure.
