I am hoping to order our wedding bands online (blue nile perhaps) and am trying to figure out what would look best with my e-ring. My ring is really simple – it’s just a white gold band with a .70 carat princess cut stone. I want a band that adds a little more ‘bling’ to the entire picture, but nothing over the top as I like things simple!

Your ring is very pretty! And with that classic style, you should have a lot of options for a wedding band so it will depend on your preferences and budget.
Do you know the width of your e-ring band?
Also do you have a budget for the wedding band?

I think a channel set band of princess cut diamonds would look very nice, or a 5 stone/ semi eternity band!

I’m not sure how wide he band is – not as wide as the diamond itself – as for price – something under $800

Maybe something like this (bead set eternity band), from Whiteflash…
This is $790 in white gold. The width is 2.7mm, which should be a good balance w/ your e ring, not too thin (I’m guessing your e ring band width is 2.5 or 3mm.)
Maybe they could do it with princess diamonds rather than rounds if you want, they are known for their custom work and I don’t think it would necessarily even cost you more.

A nice channel set wedding band would be nice with princess cut stones.
The only issue I can see is that the edge of your wedding band may not be standard. I can’t tell from the picture exactly but it may have a knife edge or something like that. In that case, you might want to talk to a jeweler about having your wedding band custom made to match your e-ring. Gorgeous stone by the way!

I have a princess cut E-ring too. When we were looking for a wedding band everyone just suggested that I go try rings on and I’d get an idea of what I’d like. But I was disappointed to find that the only princess cut diamond bands I found were channel set bands. I wanted to see some other ideas! I ended up with a 7 stone prong set band. Plus I got a channel set band for an extra piece when i didn’t feel good about wearing my real band (gym, cleaning, etc.) If I were you, I would do a google images search for a princess cut band. Also, you might want to even consider pairing it with round cut diamond band – I like the mix of stones – it keeps it interesting and different. I’ll try to post some pics/ideas…
This first link is your basic channel set band:

I also agree with speechie! A princess cut eternity band that is channel set will look beautiful with this solitaire, and not be toooooo over the top bling-y. 😉
