We’re doing our engagement session this Monday, and I’m really looking forward to it! I’m having trouble deciding what to wear, though. The photos will be a combination of indoors and outdoors (mostly indoors), in an urban setting. We’re taking some photos at our favourite bar, which I think will be awesome! With that in mind, please tell me which two of these outfits are your favourite!
Thanks in advance!!
Outfit #1: turquoise dress
(I am grappling with what to wear for footwear…heels would look nicer, but I feel they’d make the dress look too short on me.)
Outfit #2: Pale pink/black top and jeans:
would also wear this one with a leather jacket intermittently:
Outfit #3: blue top & jeans
(I have a gray leather jacket I could pair with this…just didn’t take a photo with it)
Outfit #4: blue top & white shorts (I worry they might possibly be too short???)
This is how I’m planning on doing my hair and make-up, so here’s a closer look. Any constructive comments on that is welcome as well (except I know I have nothing on my lips…I’ll be wearing a natural shade of lipstick plus some gloss!):

Everything looks great on you. I really like the dress and the pale pink shirt with dark pants!

I think the dress is too casual and not urban enough. Love the pink top with jeans. The blue top with jeans is nice too, but the pink really complements your hair. The shorts are definitely too short!

I love the outfits in jeans. The dress and shorts show too much skin IMO

applecat: first of all, we can never be friends because well… you’re too hot!!! damn girl! you look nice in everything! that’s a great problem to have lol.
I like the pink shirt with the jacket sometimes idea.

The first one…the rest of the choices seem too casual!

I love the light pink shirt/ jeans combo. Looks great!
Also, your hair has so much volume! I love it!

applecat: you are stunning in everything! I personally love outfit #2 and #3 .. Especially with your shoot location. If you added nude tone heels to the turquoise dress it would elongate your legs, but that might just make you feel it looks even shorter!

I like the first and second ones. do you know what your FI will be wearing yet?

I’m going to go against the majority and go with the blue top and jeans. You’re figure is to die for, and it shows it off a little, but not too much… And the contrast of blue with your hair looks stunning.

love the dress. it looks great. I also like the outfits with the leather jacket (I don’t like them as much without the jacket though).

Are you going to do a wardrobe change? We did some pix in jeans and some dressed up. I like the dress and both tops and jeans. I don’t like the shorts for e-pics. I think the dress would look good with some wedges.

kimmo416: cls9q: I agree! Thanks!
stardustintheeyes: oh gosh, well thanks! I’m sure we could still be friends! 😉 Thanks for the input!
SomedayHisBride: I wanted our engagement pics to be more our “every day” looks…and these are outfits I’d wear on a regular (but not particularly fancy) night out with the FI. Particularly because our setting will be urban, a bar/concert venue…I think they’re appropriate. 🙂 Thabk you for the input though!

dolcevita5: Yeah, I know heels would be all together more flattering…but I’m tall (5’9) and have long legs already, so I’m very self conscious about the dress looking too short! I buy things all the time that are meant to be “mid length” that end up looking scandalous on me. 🙁
emstar168: I think he is going to wear a nice blazer, dark jeans, and a tee shirt or polo. 🙂
Soon2bmarried123: Shkragoldfish: Thanks for the input ladies!
JazzyGirl85: Yes, I think we are. Our photographer basically told me to prepare as many outfits as I want and he will help me determine which are best if I need any help (we are meeting at my/FI’s condo since we are right downtown). I am guessing we’ll have time for at least two outfits.
