I would go for the 4mm wide one 🙂

The center diamond should look just fine in either. There’s definitely not much you can do to make a center stone of that size appear small.

5mm is much too wide for me.  I like the 4mm

@Whitelight:  Welcome to the Hive! I picked the 4mm one, but not because the stone looks bigger or anything, it looks fine on both, but I liked the look of the 4mm one more 🙂

5mm is much to wide for my taste as well and I feel like it looks more dated. I would go with the 4mm it looks so much classier to me!

First of all I love Zoara…we didn’t buy my ring there..but we were considering it…To my taste both rings you picked are too wide..I wouldn’t go with more than 3 mm…but from those two I would pick a 4mm one…

I like the 5mm, but how thick would you want your wedding band? and would you have one extra band or two? I think 2 would be too much, personally.

Hi @Whitelight:  First and foremost, as this is your DEBUT post on WBee… a BIG Welcome to “the Hive”

    I DID NOT VOTE

As I am a strong believe that it is ALWAYS best to try on rings (more so if you have a particular one in mind)… cause what you see in a picture isn’t going to quite the same IRL

And just like buying clothes on line or out of a catalogue… what you see, and what you see in person can be 2 very different things… not every article of clothing (or style of ring) is going to fit / suit every woman.  Everyone’s hands are different etc.

So ya, you really have to GO LOOK & SEE FOR YOURSELF

That said, I guess you are asking also about band size etc.

Measure the distance from the base of your Ring Finger to the first knuckle (bent)… that will give you a general idea of how much room you truly have that accommodate a ring(s)

I have very short stubby fingers (almost childlike) and I only have 3/4 of a inch (19 mm) of space.

BUT I still manage to rock a lot of Jewellery in that short span.

My ERing faces up at 10 mm, and down at 4 mm… My Sparkly WBand is an Eternity Band at about 2-1/2 mm (and my Plain WBand is also 2-1/2 mm)

On average I wear my 2 Sparklies together (10 mm + 2-1/2 mm = 12.5 mm for the Topside) -OR- (4 mm + 2-1/2 mm = 6.5 mm for the Bottomside)

The rare occasions when I wear all three, then you have to add on another 2-1/2 mm all around… so (12.5 + 2.5 = 15 mm for the Topside) -AND- (6.5 + 2.5 = 9 mm for the Bottomside)

And now for some Ring porn…

    PHOTO # 2 – The 2 Sparklies together

BTW… My Feature Stone is 0.80 Carats, and I wear a Size 7 Ring

    Hope this helps,

I voted neither because 4-5 mm is really wide IMO. I much prefer daintier rings, like 2-3 mm for the shank. Full disclaimer: my fingers are really short.
