I really like the plain champagne; it matched but wasn’t overly matchy.

And I think it’s really cool that you’re making your own veil, btw.

I’m torn between the plain champagne and the blush.

I love the plain champagne. I’ll be wearing a blush dress too and have considered champagne for my veils, since, like a pp said, it matches without being too matchy matchy

hmmm tough! i like both the champagne and the blush. i personally didn’t get any sparkle on my veil, because of the movie sweet home alabama where there is a rhinestone/something right by her nose (really weird reason, but it always irritated me so much that it stuck LOL). i didn’t even have a blusher but ended up loving how a plain veil looked.

SherryBlossom78:  well, candlelight will show off the sparkles in the veil, that’s why I asked. My veil has crystals on it for same reason:-)

I like the plain champagne, then the sparly one (and I generally don’t like sparkles), but not really the pink one. Too similar to your dress!

SherryBlossom78:  My first inclination was to respond “No, that’s not what I meant, you can match your veil no matter what color you wear!” But now that I’m thinking about it, a red veil with a red dress or a blue veil with a blue dress or a green veil with a green dress is going to completely swallow the bride in color, color everywhere!

FWIW, I’m also not a fan of OMG WHITE EVERYWHERE WHITE DRESS WHITE VEIL COVER THE BRIDE IN WHITE. But just looking through your photos, the pink veil to me is too much pink. The other colors will let the dress stand out more, whereas a pink veil makes everything blur together and you could get lost in the midst.

SherryBlossom78:  Also, you’re making your own veil? So cool! Do you have a template you’d be willing to share? I’m considering this route, too, and would love to see how you’re doing it!
