Hi ladies!  I finally bought the gown of my dreams last week, but it kind of has a lot going on with the full lace back.  Has anyone worn this dress?  I'd love to see pics.  Otherwise, do you have any advice for me in terms of veil and accessories?  Thanks!

You need some killer chandelier earrings.

This is one of the few dresses that I have seen that would look awesome with a necklace. I like the multi-strand pearl necklaces held together with a brooch. That would be really nice.

No problem.  Just a random Etsy find.  I think for the veil you might want to do something simple with maybe a few spots of lace throughout the veil body but not necessarily on the edges.  The lace on your dress is so gorgeous you just want to tie it in but not try to outdo it.

@JamaicaBride - I love the brooch on pearls look!  It's so glamorous and lovely!

@fanatic888 - I agree with the simple veil idea.  The back of the dress is awesome and I don't want to call attention away from that detail.  The hive is always so stylish, I knew I'd get some ideas.

That's my dress, too!! Smile My plan is this: pearl drop earrings (cream or maybe a soft pink), not sure how big or dramatic yet, no necklace, and a bold pearl bracelet, probably one with 2 or 3 strands and a rhinestone clasp. As for a veil, I'm actually wearing my great-grandmother's veil, which is gorgeous…chapel-length with handmade lace around the edges, almost mantilla style but not quite. It used to have little pearls sewn on around the face (which have since fallen off), but I'm thinking about sewing some back on. But, since the veil is so fragile, I'll only be wearing it for the ceremony and pictures. I think I'll get a sparkly comb to put in for the reception.

Personally, I think that the neckline is enough on its own without a necklace, which would actually take away from the elegant line down the neck to the collarbone and the face-framing effect it creates. But that's just me...

I think a plain veil would look amazing. There is just something so beautiful about a simple yet floaty and beautiful veil.

I would skip a necklace and wear earings only.  Chandeliers might be nice if you are comfortable with those.   A simple veil would probably be best.  The dress is very beautiful and classic!

Thanks, ladies!  I am definitely comfortable wearing som serious chandeliers, so that's the way I'll go.  I am in total agreement about the simple veil, too.

@emmalina - ordinarily I don't like it when people have the same clothes as me, but this time I am so excited!  Isn't the dress so great?  The sample was about 4 sizes too small for me, but I still knew it was the one the second I out it on!

I'm with you normally about trying to keep my clothes/style unique, but with wedding dresses, I think it's different. It's just so exciting when someone finds their dress, you just can't help being excited for them! Unless of course someone like your cousin or a friend or someone were to pick a very similar dress to yours...then I think you're allowed to be annoyed! Wink

So, what sort of wedding are you having? Mine is in the garden at an adorable, vintage-y inn on the coast of Maine. I think the dress fits perfectly with the aesthetic!

@emmalina- I think your setting is perfect for the dress, and vice-versa! We are getting married in a vineyard in the East Bay Area, and our "theme" is "rustic vintage glam."Lots of brooches for the bridesmaids and rhinestone embellishments mixed in with loads of sunflowers and a woodland/aviary feel. It sounds like a lot, but it's coming together nicely.

I agree that I would be *slightly* mad if a cousin or close friend "stole" my dress! LOL!

definitely some chandelier earrings...skip a necklace...it would only take away from the lovely neckline...and probably go with a simpler veil
