Honestly, I don’t like either of them.  I don’t know how much you are paying though, so it could be good work for the money.  None of their portfolio images really pop or stand out to me, they are just blah.  Judging by their websites, it doesn’t seem like either has been around that long.

You seem to be getting a lot of things in your package, perhaps cut some stuff out to a more basic package and find someone with more experience/talent.

I also question albums with names, phrases on it.  What does that mean?  I really dislike when albums have little sayings and descriptions all over the pages, it’s really not that common in professional albums.  Also, albums cost and quality varies drastically, find out what type of album (manufacturer) you are getting.

I like the feel of #2 the best.   I am not a photographer, just strictly looking at it as a bride.

I honestly don’t really like either 🙁  You are in my area and I know that there are a ton more qualified photographers that you could choose from.  But if I have to choose I would choose Bruce.

I would choose #2 I liked his work. I personally think he takes very nice pictures. : ) And a bonus, his site was easier to navigate. I even like his package options better. Good luck!! And let us know what you decided!

@yearns4god:  “Both of the photographers are a little under $4k”  OMG.

This is really shocking to me.  As someone who is getting into the wedding photography business I can’t believe either of those people charge around that much for the quality.

I’m going to PM you a list of local photographers, as well as my own, that are well under that and (IMO) are pretty awesome.

I just got engaged so I admit that I am not an expert on wedding photography.  I liked the first one better, although they both looked good.  I just liked the style of the first one more. It seemed like the couples he photographed had fun.  I can’t really explain it, but I imagine that I want to have that much fun during my wedding next May.

I also liked his bio, he seemed straight forward and honest which is really important to me.

Good luck and congratulations! I see you are getting married exactly one week after me!
