I am a total shoe whore. Like hundreds of pairs. And I never thought I would have so much trouble finding just the right shoe at a reasonable price for my dress. I can estimate that I have considered hundreds of shoes, and probably tried on at least four dozen, and cannot find anything (until now maybe) that makes me think, “YES! THOSE!” I am pretty particular, which is making the hunt near impossible. So, I need your opinion.
I can’t really wear regular pumps because I have such a skinny foot (not narrow, just skinny, if that makes any sense). Which means I have to have something that I can strap to my foot to keep it on. I had considered colored shoes, but I’m just not a huge fan for me, although there are several ladies’ on here that have lovely colored shoes.
Until now. I saw these first in ivory, and thought they might work, until I saw the same shoe in blue, which made me gasp out loud.
So now I need your help. I will be wearing the Maggie Montana in Pearl (same as the stock photo) and want to know what you think of this shoe to go with it.
And here’s my Maggie:

A couple things, have you actually tried the Seychelles shoes on? I have both a skinny and narrow foot and find that this brand runs for a more wide foot frame overall. The ones above have kind of a shabby-chic vintage look, which might be what you’re going for. I think these are pretty fab, though, myself…

The ones you posted look great to me! I think they will go very well with your dress. Order them and try them on, and if they fit, great, and if they don’t, well, worry about that if it happens!

How about something more bling-y? Your dress is so dramatic, I feel like the shoes might be understated?

@BrandNewBride: Are these blingy? I have ordered, and am awaiting receipt of these two pairs:
I realize they are both pumps (which I said I wouldn’t wear) but I’m hoping some of the grippy stuff you can put on the inside of the heel will keep them from slipping. I like them both; the second maybe a little more than the first. The Madden Girl Getta (shoe 2) has a 3.5″ heel, and a 1″ platform. I tried them on locally, and other than the heel slippage, they are comfy.
And we won’t talk about the dozen pairs I just listed on eBay; none of which are really right. (hangs head in shame).

They are not my style at all but it is not for me so I dont know how to answer when I dont know your style. To me, they look like something my Grandmother would wear (Please dont e-stone me! Haha!). I think if you love them you should get them! What overall style are you going for and do you have your other accessories? Can’t they always be returned if you find something else? You have plenty of time until December if that is your date…
I do LOVE the two other ones you posted!

@Mrs Canuck: YES! That second pair is definitely what I would wear with your requirements!

@gelaine22: LOL No e-stones for you. I’m a grandmother; just prob not old enough to be YOUR grandmother!! We’re getting married in a centuries-old mansion close to home, with a quite cozy music room, which we’ll be using for both the ceremony and reception (huge pipe organ and large FP with gas logs). Now that I’ve received some feedback, I think I’ll scrap the whole blue lace shoes idea, and wait, albeit impatiently, for the two silver pairs.
Thanks to everyone for the votes and comments!
