Everything sounds like it will be beautiful. 

I wasn’t sure what a fire hall looked like, so I googled pictures of ‘fire hall weddings’. I really don’t see a problem. They don’t look much different from other, more common, reception venues. With the decorations and uplighting, your reception should look just fine. I bet some of those doubters will be surprised at how nice the hall looks.

NYMeetsPA:  The suspended ceiling is an advantage when it comes to decorating. It’s easy to hang things from the T bars that hold up the tiles. You can even get special clips at the

builders’ supply or at Staples.

NYMeetsPA:  You don’t have to do draping. You can hang paper lanterns, string lights, pomanders, etc, even just above the dance floor.
