@cirk:  I’m throwing my best friend her bachelorette this weekend.
We are all going for facials, dinner, some pre-drinks and games in our hotel room, then we’re being picked up by a limo where we’ll drive around the city, continue to drink and after an hour or so get dropped off at the bar we’re going to. You could do something like that- minus the bar at the end.

I think it really depend on the bride’s preferences. Is she a girly girl? If so, you could have a day at the spa (or an at home spa is budget is an issue), dinner, drinks at a hotel, or someone’s house.

If she’s adventurous you could doing ziplining or rafting or something like that during the day.

Maybe rent cottages somewhere so you don’t have to worry about the underage people trying to go to bars?

Good luck!

Burlesque or pole dancing class!  My ladies booked a burlesque dance class for my bachelorette and it was SO MUCH FUN.  It was at a dance studio and you could bring in cocktails (helps loosen everyone up).

They had also looked at a company that brings pole dancing classes to you, but they were booked.  Another fun idea, though!

I agree that pole dancing is a great idea, but not a good idea for girls who are underage. A little tacky if you ask me. It’s one thing to give them a glass of champagne at the hotel, but pole dancing is inappropriate.

I think everyone would love a spa day, and a limo ride sounds fun. If there is a bar you are looking into, you can just call ahead and explain the situation and make arrangements to have the girls hands stamped or something. Sometimes 21 and up bars allow 18+ to come in if the staff knows about it.

Either way, it sounds like you are going to throw a great party!!

For mine we got a tarot card reader and also did a wine tasting. Then we just drank the rest of the wine!

@cirk:  my friend owns a pretty awesome chocolate shop in South Park. They do wine and beer as well as champagne cocktails. You can rent out the back room for a private party or just go to the cafe. It’s pretty awesome and South Park is a fun area to walk around. It’s called Eclipse. Check it out.

We did putt-putt golf for my cousin’s bachelorette! For mine we went to dinner and then back to the hotel where we played games and drank and ended the night sitting with our feet in the jaccuzi and talking til the wee hours of the morning.

I just had mine and we went to a comedy club! You could get in if you were underage but you could still drink. It was SO NICE. They served food, beverages, had funny comedians, etc.

One comedian pulled me up on the stage because he knew it was my bachelorette party and proceeded to give me a lap dance (all in silly-fun goodhearted nature). When he got on the ground to thrust upwards he got his hair too close to the first table and caught his hair on fire with the candle! He quickly put it out, but holy crap it was funny. Thank goodness he wasn’t hurt! Anyways, who would have thought a comedy club would have held such a great story?! (I also got a free shot out of it!)

After that we got free tickets to get into the bar next door.

It was truly an awesome night! 😀

@edepp2010:  I’m assuming the girls are underage as in under 21, not under 18. Dont’ see anything wrong with doing pole dancing – they are at least legally able to do that.

@JrzyGurl I guess you are right, just in my head I pictured watching a little sister dance on a pole, or little cousin or something. Just depends on the relationship I guess.

I had my bachelorette in San Diego. We stayed in the Gaslamp District, which has really cool restaurants and shops. We took a cab to Lips, which was SO MUCH FUN! It’s dinner and a drag show. It’s all ages, but as the website puts it, the show is “colorful” and the servers have a lot of personality! =) The food and drinks were good too!

The website is http://lipssd.com/

@cirk:  I don’t know how things work in Cali, but in Michigan as long as the girls are over 18, they can still go to the clubs & bars, they just can’t drink. One of my best friend’s isn’t 21 yet, so we just get her good & liquored up during the pregame phase of the evening lol, & then we go to the clubs 😛
