Picture's not showing!
Without seeing the picture, the first thing I can think of is why don't you try a wine/burgundy shade? It's red but not RED red, just slightly darker.
Edit -- Ahh, there's the picture! Well, I still think you could try a burgundy shade (though that may be a bit too purplish), or maybe a shade of brown that leans towards the reddish side?
That lipstick she's wearing is kind of a brick shade. Maybe try Nars Lipstick in the color "Shanghai Express?"
Are you looking for a reddish brown combo or are you looking more for a reddish orange combo? The color above looks like a reddish brown combo, IMO I think MAC has a great assortment of lipsticks for reasonable prices. Even if you visit them to get an idea of the color you want - - from there you can maybe find something at Walgreens or even at Sephora for a lower price.....
EDIT - PS = that color she is wearing is really pretty and that is an amazing inspiration picture 
@ Azula- that's what I was thinking too- a burgundy might not be as "whoa red lips" looking. @danadelphia- Thanks for the suggestion, I will check it out. I have two other Nars red lipsticks, which are fab, but look terrible on me! :)
Thanks Jackie-O! I searched forever for just the right inspiration photo, and then BAM! I got both the hair and makeup all in one photo! I'm totally in love with it. :)
Honestly? I'd print out the pic and take it to a few make up counters and explain that you're trying to achieve that same color - I'm sure they'll be willing to help you!

My new favorite red, which is better than any I've tried and/or owned is the new Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in Gabrielle. It is the most wearable red I own now, and the consistancy and lasting power is great. It isn't as dark as the one in the photo you posted, but it is a really nice red. It is also one of the only strongly pigmented lipsticks I've ever tried that didn't give me the dreaded lipstick teeth (A problem I have a lot even when I do the "lollipop" trick)! It is a little pricy, though.

I love Nars lipstick, especially the sheer ones. Their reds are amazing- and I too have been on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick for a long time! I think the trick to red lipstick is it not going on too matte and heavy. The sheer versions seem to be more wearable. I love Flamenco and my friend swears by Lizard Red.

Below is a pic of my hair and makeup inspiration for my wedding (yay!) I actually have similar hair and coloring as this picture, which is good. Unfortunately, I cannot find the right shade of red lipstick anywhere. Everything ends up being "too red" and I've now got a red lipstick graveyard in my vanity. I am looking for more of a brick red like in the picture, as I've discovered that "red red" just doesn't look right on me. Neither do orangey-reds. Can anyone recommend a red lipstick that's not "too" red?
