My family likes very simple food so I’d pick the following.
caprese salad. asian noodle salad (love caprese salad but some of my family doesn’t eat tomatoes soI’d pick two different salads)
entrees– chicken florinetine with garlic parmesan cream
linguine pasta with tomatoes peas and feta
garlic roasted print rib of beef with horse radish and au jus
(If I had to pick two entrees it would be pasta and beef)
yukon gold potatos (really all of these options sound good)

This is a tough one how many choices do you get for the potato and the entree? So far my favorites are as follow.
penne pasta sala with tomato artichoke basil
beet and mandarin orange salad
I cant pick in between these three:
chicken florinetine with garlic parmesan cream
grilled salmon with hazelnut butter
linguine pasta with tomatoes peas and feta cheese
tri color roasted potatos (colour is so important on a plate)

2 startches, 2 salads, 2 entrees. or if we pay extra we can do three entrees.

I say pick something different which you love and then pick something fairly basic as your entree. Chicken is always a basic and think so is the pasta. Thats why I put those in there.

I would go with
Caprese Salad and Penne Pasta Salad
Chicken and Prime Rib
Rice Pilaf and Tri Colored Potatoes

huh i dont know where my reply went… oh well.. i think we narrowed down the entrees and starches…. we will be tasting gold potatos with chive butter and the garlic mashed potatoes. the grilled tri tip and either griller chicken with mushroom sauce or the chicken florentine.. possibly the linguni… i dont know…. the salads are really the problem since i am an ice berg lettuce with carrots and ranch dressing kind of girl…. things we have no choice on are these: artichoke ceaser salad, field greens with spinach salad. seasonal fruits, chefs choice veggies, rolls and butters, tortes and cheese cake plus coffee and tea and water…. they really get u on the drink menu.. 3 dollars per soda. wth?!? fruit punch is 29 dollars a gallon… then the alcohol… 23 dollars per bottle for house wine… 450 for micro brew beer keg…. im thinking cash bar for mix drinks!!!!!!

I would pick whichever items you think would appeal to the broadest group of people…
Post # 11
I would try to pick items that would go together, no matter what people picked:
1st – Caprese salad and Beet and mandarin orange salad (both fresh options with less carbs to start the meal)
2nd – Salmon w/ hazelenut butter sauce (or the other fish option) and Roast prime rib (or another red meat or pork)
3rd – rice and garlic roasted red potatoes
