Well, of the two places I would recommend, one is closed now, and the other is a small shop. I have no idea what their sizes are like, since I found my dress at the now-closed store and didn't go to the other store, though I've heard good things about it. It's called the Little Bridal Shop, and it's in Rogers, MN. Not sure if that's too far out of the metro area for you or not, but it might be worth a call.
What about heartstrings bridal in Hopkins, The Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul, or Wedding Chaple Bridals in New Hope? They are worth looking at.
I do not recommend Weddings byTess in Apple Valley. I had so many problems with them.

How big are you? I didn't like davids bridal dresses. they were too expensive and also, none of them looked flattering on me. i went out to some place in blaine not a good selection of plus size. but i SCORED at diamond bride in plymouth. they carry plus size. also, they have a HUGE selection in the back that are last years dresses or discontinued that are reasonably priced. I got my size 22 dress for $300.

Hello,
I am FINALLY going to start looking at wedding dresses. I am going to Chaska, MN to shop with my mom on November 4-6. I have been looking online and have made appointments at David's Bridal and House of France Bridal stores to look around. However, there dosen't seem to be many shops to check out. Does anyone have a really great shop around minneapolis/st. paul area?
**Note: I am on the bigger side, and have no desire to go to a tiny boutique where everything is a size 8.
