5-6 is plenty. YOu might only get to 3-4.
Just go in and have fun! (a glass of wine beforehand never hurts).
I think 5 or 6 is good. I would maybe bring a "transitional" outfit to start in, like a short skirt and button down top, so it's not like "HEY! HERE'S MY UNDERWEAR!!!" straight off the bat ;) That's how my photographer eased me into and it really helped. Also, just try to think of it like wearing a bikini. You'll be fine, you'll have lots of fun!
Don't stress! I did my boudoir photos a few weeks ago...it was part of a marathon, so it was only 1 hour of shooting and 3 outfits, but it was just me and my photographer in the room for the photos. I had so much fun though! I felt beautiful and empowered and she got some amazing photos of me! Just remember to breathe and be yourself. Your photog will give you some guidance as to what to do - they are professionals, so you shouldn't feel nervous! Have some fun with it! Don't be afraid to be a bit playful or mysterious in your expressions...just go with it! The more you let go and just enjoy yourself, the more natural your photos will look. Have a great time :)
When I did mine the nerves subsided when I was gettin my hair and make up done. I agree maybe a glass or 2 of wine might help. My photog provided us with mimosa's. I would take all the outfit you can think of and then have your photog help you decide. Thats what I did
Bring powdered makeup
Bring a glass of champagne (if you drink), just one thought, you dont want to look like a drunk in your photos.
Listen to some fun music
Bring some inspirational photos that you want to pose like. Victoria secret, pinup, a celeb you like, or just look at the photos before hand for inspiration.
Bring fun props to distract you from the fact you are in your underwear. Like balloons, ribbon or confetti to throw, a photo of your fiance, a hat, snowboard, football, ect.
I just had mine last night! My photog brought mimosa's which I had two while my makeup and hair were getting done and that helped! Plus I was the first appointment in the marathon so I got to chat with the photog and get to know her and I think that helped also. I brought 7 outfits and we got to 6. They just kept shooting me until the next girl was ready. I also brought 2 pairs of shoes and a pearl necklace and a feather tickler I'd just got at my shower. I had both my photog and her fiance in the room and I felt really comfortable. I was in lingerie right from the start but her FI pretty much only looked at the computer screen for lighting and she was only interested in making me beautiful. I wish I would've practiced "looks" in the mirror first. I did my best sexy look but I have no idea if it came across that way. Ha ha. Her suggestion was that I put on the lingerie I was most comfortable with. After that, I pretended I was looking at my FI. And telling myself I am one sexy lady!
Bring the highest shoes you own, have a glass of something relaxing and just have fun!
Thanks so much ladies! I just finished, and I have to say, it WAS fun! I ended up doing my own hair and makeup because the girl who normally works with her had to work, but it came out awesome! I am pumped to see how the editted photos come out. I have been doing the 30 Day Shred for the past couple weeks to really tone some areas beforehand, and I felt so much more confident with my body after it. Thanks again for all of your amazing support and advice!

Hi Bees! I need some advice and a little encouragement! My boudoir shoot is on Saturday afternoon and I am starting to get nervous. The photographer is awesome, so I am pretty comfortable with the idea of working with her, but it's the whole being in my underwear in front of a stranger part! Any words of advice? I have 5 or 6 outfits picked out. Should I have more?
