Well, the title says it all. I have posted before about my ongoing issues with migraines. This migraine is so much worse than almost any other migraine I have had. Not only am I getting the standard migraine pressure/pain, but I am getting pressure and pain behind my eyes too.
I see a neurologist, and called him about this migraine yesterday when it didn’t respond to abortive meds (Maxalt.) I have had this same migraine since Wednesday, and I am going out of my mind. My doctor called in a steroid pack for me (Medrol) this afternoon and I started taking it tonight. My shower is tomorrow at 1 pm.
If anyone has advice, I would love to hear it. I have tried my old home remedies: naps, a can of Coke, salty pretzels, a warm bath, massaging the area. Out of desperation last night I took a Vicodin, which helped, but it still came back.

A professional massage if possible?

@chocolatecoveredstrawberry: have you been drinking water with electrolytes? Maybe eat a good meal with veggies and fruits? Depending on how debilitating the headache is going outside and doing something really helps me, but I’ve never had one last over night. 3 days seems a bit extreme for a diet, or sleep problem.
you might go see your eye doctor.

@bella128: I booked one for tomorrow morning, yay.
@Captain013: I actually had been drinking some leftover Powerade from when I had a stomach bug last weekend. (It’s been a great few weeks if you can tell!) I have been trying to eat a lot of fruits and veggies. I don’t think it is eye related because I went for an eye exam only a couple of months ago.

Long HOT bath followed by a dark room, eyemask, and lots of rest. When mine last for more than one day, I have found not much stops them and I just have to try to relax and let it run its course.

@chocolatecoveredstrawberry: excellent! make sure you specifically tell them you have a migraine… when they get the right spots its amazing, I’ve had a migraine go away almost entirely in 1/2 hour.
