I went to my dad's house the other night, and I asked if he wanted to do a father daughter dance. He said sure, but then told me to pick the song. Great. LOL!

About my dad: We're not super close. I try to see him every weekend, but sometimes we can go three weeks without even talking. He doesn't call me on a regular basis, and I don't call him either. He's not an emotional person, and we've never just really had that "father-daughter bond" like a lot of girls do with their dads. He buys me tools for Christmas or gift certificates to get car washes, and I'm a girly girl. :)

Can you help with some song ideas? I have no clue where to start.

We used the song

My wish by rascall flats. I loved it because it was a sweet song but not overly emotional. It's just about the good things in life that someone wishes for another person :)

I'm using "There Goes My Life" by Kenny Chesney - but I suppose that might not fit for your situation. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and say that I think "My Wish" would be perfect. I'm sure even though you aren't as close as some Fathers and Daughters, he wishes the best for you in your life and that's really what the song is about.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had thought about that one. He does love country too. I guess I'm just a little disappointed he didn't really want to pick one or even think about it. Oh well, I guess.

Any other suggestions?
